About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely love cooking desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking tradition is during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am responsible for making the desserts.
My cooking triumphs
One of my favorite cooking triumph is the conquering homemade caramel.
My cooking tragedies
My most memorable cooking tragedy is when I tried to cook pancakes for a boyfriend. The pancakes were burnt on the outside and runny on the inside. No one would eat them, including the birds.

Shrimp Scampi Bake
I made this recipe as written except for a few exceptions. I cooked the shrimp for 5-7 minutes, then put it under the broiler for another 2 minutes. My 13-year-old son loves this recipe and says it taste better than Red Lobster's shrimp scampi.

Best Bread Machine Bread
I add the extra 1/2 tsp as suggested by other reviewers and this bread turned out wonderfully. Can't wait to make it again.

French Toast Casserole
This recipe is a keeper. I tweaked the recipe a little to cut down on some of the carbs (I'm pre-diabetic) by using 1c. of milk and 1/2c. of almond milk along with 2 Tbsp. of sugar and 2 Tbsp. of Splenda. These changes did not compromise the taste. Next time I will try using just almond milk and/or Splenda. Btw, I also used three-day-old homemade sourdough bread.
