My Kind of Cookie
About this Cook
Well my goal in life is to have everyone want to always come eat at my house!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I am told I get it from my Maternal Grandmother, we both use it a stress reliever. I love to get into the kitchen and immerse myself in a recipe, it makes all my troubles melt away like a warm stick of butter.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Both my Grandmothers are great cooks! I love to get with them in their kitchens and have them teach me all the recipes I grew up eating as a kid.
My cooking triumphs
I have won my Families cookie contest the past 4 out of 6 years I have entered.
My cooking tragedies
I lost 2 years in the same contest!

It's Chili by George!!
After reading the previous reviews I did a little adjusting myself. We are fans of spice but not fans of chunks bell pepper or onions so I chose to use a can of tomatoes with onion and garlic then tripled all the spices and added some crushed red pepper for good measure. All in all it was a great base recipe and something that we will definitely use again!!

Shredded Chicken Tacos
This recipe was a good starter but seeing how my family likes some spice I think it needed a little more kick. I used 3 large chicken breasts and put it in the slow cooker for 8 hours on low and it shredded perfectly! But next time I think I will add a can or medium rotel during the cooking process to heat it up a bit!
