Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This was really good, I doubled the garlic and butter and added a bit of salt. Fantastic!

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
So amazingly delectable! More like a gelato than ice cream really. Great with fresh raspberries or cookies. I might cut the sugar down to 2/3 cup next time but it's not needed.

Literally, the best French Onion Soup i've ever had. I can't believe I just made something that tasted that good. Seriously.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I'd never made Brussels Sprouts before and they turned out great! Added a clove of garlic. My husband and 3 year old loved them and am making them again tonight.

French Onion Soup With Browned Garlic

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2002
This soup had promise, but there were FAR too many onions, and I love onions. Next time i'll use 2 1/2 onions instead of 4, and more broth to avoid this problem. Otherwise very good

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2002
Wow! This really is great coffee cake. I'm making my second batch at this very moment, because yesterdays batch was eaten so quickly! I'm making a little extra topping this time, but it was great with the standard amount as well. Thanks Aunt Anne.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
These were fantastic EXCEPT... mine only took about 17 MINUTES to cook, not 35-40 minutes! So my first batch was ruined. This setback did help me realize halfway through that these muffins needed a touch more salt than called for and a little extra pumpkin pie spice. The salt gave it some dimension it had been missing. Doubling the topping is always delicious to me! I'll make them again for sure with these adjustments :)

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Pretty standard but tasty. There was a lot of butter at the bottom of the dish but the flavors were nice. I did add a dash of cinnamon and it added a nice twist. Easy and delicious.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This was phenomenal, I ate less stuffing so that I could eat EXTRA VEGGIES! Yum! The only thing I changed was on half of the dish I did the crispy onions on top and I preferred that half over the cracker side. They added flavor dimension and extra texture as well. Everyone RAVED!

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Fantastic cobbler, I love how it is made "upside down". The dough grows up around the fruit and it almost like a cakey biscuit. My husband is a cobbler snob and raved about this one. I added blueberries and it was perfect.

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
Dear lord, this was amazing! The best recipe off this site yet. My husband hates meatloaf (and beef) so I used ground turkey and doubled the sauce. We couldn't shovel it in fast enough! Yum yum yum yum.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
This was very good, great as is or could be modified by throwing in extras like olives, ortega chiles, etc... This would even be great as a dip with chips.

I had no mushrooms or parsley around but made this anyways and it turned out great. I served it over egg noodles, yum.

Yum! These were a hit, but next time I'll use extra onions and less cream cheese. Great with salsa.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
I really didn't enjoy these, unfortunately. Even with additional cinnamon, they lacked proper sweetness and saltiness and were quite one dimensional in flavor. I tried to salvage them with a butter/brown sugar/salt crumble top and it helped... Just don't understand the high rating on these.

Squash-Apple Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
This was so good, my 5 year old wanted seconds and then wanted some for his lunch the next day. The brown sugar/butter sauce was perfectly salty to balance out the sweet. I would only maybe make a little extra sauce because I love that stuff...but not at all necessary! I'm planning on taking this one to Thanksgiving.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
Great gluten free staple cookie! I love these plain or with chocolate chips. I added a pinch of salt to mine to make em less sweet. It's hard to believe these only have 3 ingredients to them because they have such great body. Oooh, next time I want to use chunky PB....

Apple Spice Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
This turned out to be the best cake i've ever made! I am making it again right now, the second time in a week! Took it to a party and everybody went crazy over it. I made a cream cheese frosting that I drizzled over the top because I wanted it to be more of a dessert but will do powdered sugar this time I think. This ones going into permanent rotation!
