Empanadas

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
Made these for the first time the other day for a group dinner and everyone loved them! The only thing I really didn't care for was the preserves...the ones with pie filling were much better. The ones with preserves tended to leak out and you just didn't feel like you had enough "umph" to them...but people could not stop talking about them. I did triple the recipe and was very glad I did! :)

Slow-Cooker Hearty Beef Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
I have learned that I am not a big fan of having salsa in chili, so that is definitely what affected my rating. I ended up adding a little each Worcestershire sauce, garlic, paprika, cumin. My family did like the final result. :)

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
I LOVE sausage balls, but had never made them until I made these. I've now made them twice and both times people declared they were the best sausage balls they had ever had! I did follow the hints to buy the extra sharp cheddar and to put a little bit extra cheese in them. I also mixed the sausage & biscuit mix together before adding the cheese and used block cheese that I grated myself. AMAZING!

Tres Leches Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
I have never baked nor eaten a Tres Leches cake, but my husband wanted me to make one for a mexican event we were having with friends. I was terrified because one of the men mentioned that he eats this cake every time he's in Mexico. But...he LOVED it...he raved about it, as did everyone else! I followed the recipe to a tee except I did add some powdered sugar and vanilla to the whipped cream icing and I garnished it with strawberries instead of cherries. I will definitely make this again!

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
Easy, easy, easy to make & everyone loves it and thinks it's been made the old fashioned way! I did follow some of the reviews - I melted the butter first, then added the choc chips & Eagle Brand; I also used all milk chocolate chips and used the Ghirardelli brand. It has been fabulous every single time (and this is the 4th time I've made it in the last few weeks...great flavor and perfect texture!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
I am not a barbeque person and even I loved this! It was super easy and my entire family thought it was awesome! I made it just as the recipe calls and it was perfect...I won't change anything when I make it again. :)

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

This was a huge hit with my family! I made it just like the recipe called and served it over wild grain rice. The flavor was amazing!
