Mexican Corn

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2014
I tried this recipe almost exactly as is. However, after putting in 6 chopped jalapenos, seeds and all, it was so spicy that I could hardly get it down (and I love spicy food). So, if you intend on putting in all 10 jalapenos, make sure you cut the seeds out and really, I still think 10 jalapenos is twice of the amount that should be in this recipe, even for people who love spicy food. Also, I threw everything into a slow cooker and it was awesome! Great recipe!

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
Excellent recipe exactly as is. I like to add jalapenos to give it a little spice. Sometimes I use bacon instead of sausage, sometimes I use both. So far, whatever substitutions I've made have all tasted good. Thanks so much for sharing!

Jan's Pretzel Dogs

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
The taste is AWESOME. Huge hit with everyone. However, whatever you do, DO NOT USE PARCHMENT PAPER. I made this very serious mistake and it completely ruined them. I had to take a knife and cut the bottoms off of every single last one. Next time, I will be greasing the pan (heavily). Also, I know oven times vary, but once you get past the 10 minute mark, watch carefully...they start to burn quick. Great recipe though, I will definitely be making these again.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Very easy and very tasty. I put all the ingredients except for the meat and onions into the crock pot. Then, I started cooking the meat and onions. Once they were done, I drained them and added them to the crock pot. Turned out great...there wasn't any left.

Creamy Jalapeno

Just like the dip at Chuy's. If you've been there, you know what I'm talking about. We at a who bag of carrots just so we could keep eating this dip!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
These cookies were a huge hit. They stayed soft and were absolutely delicious. I might try putting a glaze on top next time, but that is just something I think sounds good. Really, following the recipe makes a very excellent cookie and there is no need to change anything.

Cherry and Raisin Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
I made the recipe exactly as written and I thought it was very good. However, the next time I make it, I will add more brown sugar and more cinnamon. I may even add more cherries or raisins. Overall, this is a pretty good recipe...thanks for sharing!

Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I could take or leave this recipe. If I were to make it again, I would put in only 1 teaspoon of vanilla and substitute half of the brown sugar for white sugar. I really love vanilla, but it was overpowering in this recipe. I ate about half of the cookie dough balls over the course of a week and then decided that I wasn't enjoying them enough to justify the amount of calories that they were and I threw the rest away. I like the thought of cookie dough without raw egg, but this quite do it for me.

Slow Cooker Apple Butter

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
I cut this recipe in half and it still made a ton of Apple Butter. I used about 2/3 the amount of sugar (brown and white) that the recipe calls for and it turned out awesome! I even gave the stuff out at work and everyone who tried it LOVED it. The hardest part was peeling all those apples. Once peeled, I put the chunks of apple (minus the seeds of course) through the grater attachment of my food processor. Then, when I put the sugar in, I tested to see how chunky the apple butter was. It was still a little too chunky for my taste, so I took a potato masher and used that to stir/mash in the sugar. This is an awesome recipe!!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
Very easy! I cooked these for just me, so I quartered the recipe and only made 6 of them. That was last night and only three of them are left this morning. They are very tasty. I used fozen blueberries because I find that folding them into the batter is easier and they don't break apart right away.

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
These were fine, but nothing special. There was so much brown sugar that even after mixing it very well and baking it, I could still taste the graininess of the brown sugar. And I love brown sugar! But it just seemed that there was an ingredient missing or something off about this recipe.
