Grandma's Famous Salmon Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2015
This was also my grandmothers recipe and although it is simple, it's all you need to have a great cake. You can add all the seasonings you want but I feel like it just takes away from the salmon flavor. Good. Basic. Tasty!

Buckeye Balls

Good recipe.. I use less conf sugar and add Rice Krispies for a fun crunch. My son insists on these every year at Christmas. These freeze well too!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2014
These cookies are great especially if you like a soft/muffin-like cookie. My son loves these and he is very picky! I've been making these for five years and everyone raves about them. Great recipe

Pumpkin Shake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2014
I had to make this my own as this is very bland as-is for me. I doubled the recipe and added 1 frozen banana (chopped), approx 2 tsp. vanilla extract, 4 packets truvia sweetener, only 1 cup almond milk in lieu of the 2 cups skim, substituted vanilla honey yogurt as that's what I had on hand, several dashes of pumpkin pie spice and topped with whipped cream. Approved by my very picky 10 year old.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2014
I have made many lasagne in my day but always looking for something better. I like the idea of not using jarred sauce. I must note however that I used the 28 ounce crushed tomatoes instead of the 14 ounces and the sauce was still pretty thick. I like it a little less thick for lasagne as I personally don't like it dry. Next time I'll add some more water as others have mentioned. Overall good recipe.

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2014
Made this according to the recipe except that I only used one egg, about 3 cups of sharp cheddar and about 1 1/2 cups of velveeta (our son tends to like that flavor), a few dashes of garlic salt, and a dash of ground mustard. Turned on high and in about 1 1/2 hrs. it was already bubbly and turning brown on the bottom. Switched to the warm setting until we were ready to eat. Definitely don't pre-cook the Mac as it would be mushy for sure! Great recipe.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
These came out really good. I wanted to make sure they were puffy, therefore even though I had cream of tarter and baking soda on hand I bought new just to make sure. They did not come out like in the video but they were chewy in the center and crunchy on the outside. My son was happy, so that's all that matters to me! I'll definitely use the recipe again ??

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
This recipe was great! I took the advise of others and added more bread crumbs under the chicken in my pan and I lined the pan with non-stick tin foil. I might try panco next time. Great recipe to build on.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
This was very tasty.. I did however try and find a good "artichoke heart" and what I ended up with was more of the actual artichoke leaf than the heart. I don't like chewing the leaf even if they are soft and marinated. Therefore next time I would buy more than one jar in order to sift through the leafs! Otherwise this was a good recipe.

Stuffed Jalapenos III

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
Made this for a football treat for our family. I did add about 1/3 cup cheddar cheese to this as well as some bacon crumbles I already had on hand. The only thing I would add is don't buy a cheaper bacon and I would use my cooking rack that I use for cookies, etc. on top of my baking tray to drain the bacon grease while baking these. Otherwise they were quite tasty.
