Swedish Nut Cake

This cake is so good. A friend at work calls this Texas Pecan Cake. Like others I only used 1 teaspoon of vanilla in the cake and 1/2 cup butter in the icing. I was worried about how brown the cake get on top while baking. I baked the caked for 45 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe.

Pretzel Turtles

These are great for a party. Even someone that doesn't cook can make these. Don't try to make these for a party unless you can make them in advance. It is hard to transport them if they have not cooled. This will be on my list to make this Christmas for gifts.

White Chocolate Snack Mix

Great recipe to make for Christmas snack bags. Had several people ask me for the recipe. Be sure to have a big pan or bowl. It is hard to mix if the bowl is too small.

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

This is the best recipe for peanut brittle. I would give it 10 stars. The clean up is so much easier if you have a pan of boiling water available. I also added a 1t of vanilla. I made this over 10 times over the Christmas holiday. Everyone loved it. I used fresh raw peanuts that i found at my local nut store. Thanks for a great recipe. revised Dec family said this is the best peanut brittle they have ever tasted. I can't make enough for them. December 2010 still making this recipe. I found another good hint is to have soft butter. It melts faster. Just finished making 5 batches of it. It takes me about 18 minutes to get to 300 degrees.

This makes such a pretty candy. Thank God for my Kitchen Aid mixer. I wouldn't suggest this recipe without a good mixer and a second set of hands.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Made these today for Holiday treats at work. I added 1/2 cups of pecans to the crust. I also mixed up 1/2 pint of sour cream and 1/4 cup of sugar and added to the top after they had cooked for 25 minutes. After I added a thin layer of the sour cream/sugar I baked for another 5 minutes. My husband had to try one and loved it. He made me make another batch for his work

No Bake Cookies III
