Orange Roughy with Citrus Sauce

I was really excited to try this recipe, but it was just too citrus for my taste. I felt like it was an average recipe.

A KEEPER-I saw this in my daily email from ALLRECIPES and decided I had to try it. Amazingly I had all the ingredients, so I followed the recipe exactly. The only thing I didn't do was marinate the chicken ahead of time because I failed to read the recipe in detail. It still turned out great!!!! My family (four girls and hubby) all ate it and asked for more. That doesn't happen too often. So thank you for a fabulous recipe. Next time I might cut back a little on the sugar, but not because I thought it tasted too sweet, just to save some calories.

Cinnamon Syrup

We have made cinnamon syrup for years. I lost my original recipe so have been winging it and it just hasn't been that great. So I found this one and it is even better than the original one I had. Perfect! We had this with crepes, but usually have cinnamon syrup on pancakes.

Chicken and Dumplings III

I was a little skeptical when I came across this "simple" recipe while searching for something to do with the chicken thighs sitting in the fridge. I decided to try it even though we had never had chicken and dumplings before. My kids loved it! All four asked for seconds and some thirds. We ran out. The only changes I made was adding some sauteed onion and celery, boiling in chicken stock and using one can of cream on chicken and one of cream of celery. We will definitely be doing this one again.

Flatlander Chili

This is a great basic chili. I needed something that I could put together fast with what I pretty much had on hand and this fit the bill. My kids liked it because it didn't have any chunky tomatoes. The flavor was great and I didn't change a thing.

Candy Cane Cocoa

WONDERFUL!!! I made this on Christmas morning to do something fun for the family. Everyone loved it. TIP: Put the candy canes in my food processor and they were crushed in a snap.

Mom's Coleslaw

This really is such a simple, yet delicious recipes for coleslaw. I did add some some celery seeds and halved the amount of dressing mixture. I also bought a bag of coleslaw mix which made it even easier to put together. This will definitely be one that we repeat.
