Shamrock dinner rolls for St. Patrick's Day!
About this Cook
I discovered how much fun it can be to cook when I got married and had to either cook or eat burgers the rest of our lives. We have a toddler that loves to cook with me, and I love that we can spend that time together. When I cook, I love to have a beverage- coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening!
My favorite things to cook
New stuff!! I have tried and true recipes that we love, but I am also lucky to have a hubby that enjoys trying new things with me.
My cooking triumphs
My first time hosting Christmas dinner, I made beef tenderloin and a ham. And I was pleased that I was able to pull it off. Got family to help after they arrived, which I think it a fun way to spend time together, talking, reminiscing, laughing, of course over a bottle of wine!

Guinness(R) Irish Stew
My husband made this for dinner, wanting to use up stew meat we had on hand. It turned out really good, 4 stars the first night, and even better the next night! He followed the recipe pretty closely, except we didn't have potatoes so we served over rice. He really liked it that way as the broth soaked into the rice. Thanks for sharing a comforting dish, we will make this again.

Oven Fried Chicken III
Made the recipe exactly as written. The chicken turned out tender, but the breading did not stick to the chicken. My husband thought it tasted good but our son and I didn't love it. It was salty and the thyme flavor was strong. If I were to try making it again I would use different spices and less salt.

Simple Time Pork Chops
My mom made these for dinner and my husband has been raving about them ever since, so I made them for us the following weekend. The dish was easy to prepare and the flavor is fantastic. I was a little worried about the amount of salt when I was sprinkling it on top of each chop as it looked like a lot, but they tasted fine. They were wonderfully flavorful and tender. Made the dish exactly as written and wouldn't change a thing! Served with home fries and apple salad.
