Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
they came out fine on tinfoil as long as you take them off right after cooking, dab off grease on paper towel and put them on serving plate! You have to turn them 1/2 way through, cooked for 45 minutes and the kids love them!!

Fast and Easy Tofu Lo-Mein

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Needs bean sprouts for crispiness! I always add a bunch right at the end of stir-frying and the kids won't have it any other way. :) Great and quick recipe!

Almond Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
My family of boys loves this recipe with a few changes! I saute garlic in with the onion and celery, omit the mayo, use 1 can cream of celery and 1/2 can of cream of mushroom. This makes it more dry. Add broccoli florets and chopped baby carrots for color, mix in a few Durkee onions then top with the rest at the last minute. My boys like soy sauce on it believe it or not and it's good that way too!

Old Settlers' Baked Beans

My boys absolutely LOVED this! We had the leftovers the next day. Crumbled bacon on top first day and was great warmed up the second day too!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2004
Well, the 4 kids, ages 3 through 12, ATE it, but didn't want me to make it again. It was too MUSHY! And there was way too much sour cream. Kind of expensive mistake. I would modify by putting only one can of soup in and maybe a few tablespoons of sour cream.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2001
My husband and I loved it! Very yummy. My 9 year old said he didn't like the bacon in it. Actually, next time I think I'll sprinkle crumbled bacon over the top of the soup instead of mixing it in, because it gets 'soggy' when it's cooked in (soggy bacon is not kid friendly!). Also, I used 2% milk instead of cream and it was just as good I'm sure. There was no need to take out some soup and puree it. It cooks right down with just the right amount of lumps of potato left in it without doing so, and it saves cleaning the blender too. Didn't put in cilantro because didn't have it.
