Trucking Diva surrounded by boys: Darling Fiancee' and a 6 y/o-going-on-21. Even the dogs are boys.
My favorite things to cook
Anything Greek/Mediterranean or International. I was taught to cook by a crazy ADD-ridden lady in my 4-H International Foods class. Those are some of my fondest memories of my childhood. Not a big fan of traditional home-cooked farm meals, I will cook them, but I like to be creative.
My favorite family cooking traditions
In my family, we have pork steaks for Thanksgiving. My grandfather was a pig farmer, and I'm not sure if it developed out of the economy, reverence, or the fact that everyone has 8000 places to go on Thanksgiving that all serve turkey. It's been a family tradition since I can remember.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that doesn't require measurement or direction-following...and is a little off-beat.
My cooking tragedies
Anything that falls in the baked goods category...with the exception of breads. I can burn cookies faster than anyone I've ever known...and I can't always blame it on my oven. This is also fine with me, because I'd rather eat cookie dough anyway.
