I was born in Mississauga Ontario and lived there shortly (8 years), then moved to Kingston. I spent my teen years in the limestone city, and this is where I received my culinary training. When done school in my early 20's, I headed west to Vancouver where I live until this day. My passions are hockey, photography and cooking and I am greatly influenced by my locale. There is great history and adventure to be found everywhere, my passions help me dig deeper.
My favorite things to cook
I love recipes that deal mostly with fresh local ingredients. Italian was a good place to start for me, but out of necessity had to learn Brazilian. This new study has been a privilege and I have grown to have a love for south American cuisine that grows everyday....I put cinnamon in alot of things now...
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother always cooked English style meals, roasted/braised big meats, starch, veggies and gravy. Now she has kinda adopted a southern states comfort style. My grandmother will always be the same.
