Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
SUPER delicious. We always double this recipe at minimum, and there's never any leftovers. Definitely a hit at parties! Our only change is to skip the sugar (it's plenty sweet on its own), and substitute seltzer for ginger ale at time of serving (optional). 5 HUGE STARS!

White Peach Sangria

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
This is a delicious, albeit somewhat “deadly” sangria. Super sweet, with a sneaker bite! Always a huge hit at parties, and the first to go! I always use a dry chardonnay (cheap is fine….don’t splurge), and something inexpensive like a Burtnett’s vodka. I’ve tried with more expensive Absolut, but you just cannot tell the difference give the price difference. I’ve made this both with sugar and have also substituted Splenda to clip some calories. I never do the grapes, as they tend to sink and don’t add much flavor. Be sure to let sit overnight to allow the recipe to set. You won’t be disappointed!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
This is one of the first recipes I ever made from AllRecipes. And I keep coming back to it. I've been told by folks in the restaurant industry that the sauce it produces is better than restaurant quality. Follow the instructions to the T and you won't be disappointed! Use a good quality balsamic vinegar – and feel free to be generous! I always serve this over linguine with some garlic bread….amazing and never fails to please!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
Absolutely fantastic! I made this for my partner and friends and there were NO leftovers to be had! So tender, flavorful, and easy! I followed the top-rated tips from Krista and it came out magnificently. I added a can of sliced carrots and sweet peas (both drained), and also tossed in 4-5 red potatoes cut into quarters. Following the suggestion of others, I added the biscuits about 2 hours before serving. Don't pass this one up!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
This was a HUGE hit! I was told this was one of the best things I've ever cooked! There were barely leftovers from the 3 of us! I followed the top-rated suggestions: use chuck roast, beef broth instead of water, 2x the italian dry mix, and shred the mixture and return to the crockpot. I served these on italian rolls toasted with olive oil and garlic powder, and topped the meat with sautéed onions and mushrooms + some shredded mozzarella. Perfection! Definitely making these again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
This was a HUGE hit. Perfect for those cold winter days - or when you're just feeling lazy. This is really more of a chili...especially when you omit the beer. Lots of flavor and taste! I followed the top suggestions: --Use hot chili beans --Put the chicken in raw, shred after 5-6 hours --Skip the beer --For the taco seasoning, make your own: Bill Echols Taco Seasoning: 1 tablespoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 teaspoon black pepper
