Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2010
Super easy and super yummy! Glad I made these. They turned out exactly as described and I didn't change anything. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they were just a slight bit plain tasting.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2006
I've made this recipe several times and my whole family loves it even my picky children. My husband could probably eat all of them himself, he likes it that much. This recipe has become a family favorite.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2004
This recipe was so good it hardly lasted a day at my house! I tried to make it in a 9x13 pan and just increased the peaches but it still wasn't quite thick enough. Next time I will probably use about 8 peaches and fiddle around with the crust mixture to make it thicker. I think the sugar and cinnamon amounts could be left the same.

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2004
I made this exactly as the recipes said and it wasn't the best. Of the 5 of us, I was the only one who really ate any of it. In the recipe where it says "salad dressing e.g. miracle whip" I took lunch lady's word for it and used miracle whip eventhough it sounded kind of yucky to me. I think it would've been good with something other than miracle whip. I might try the recipe again and use sour cream instead of miracle whip.

Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2004
My family and I thought this was bland. I liked the idea of it but it needed something. I fixed it exactly as the recipe said.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2004
I really like this recipe. My husbands only problem with it was that he would've like it better if they were fried rather than baked. It did take a long time to coat all of them with the bread crumbs. Next time I will try using a ziplock bag.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2004
I wish there were a 6 star category because this one would definately fit!! I have never fixed anything before that my family has loved more. I followed the recipe exactly and it was sooooo yummy. My children actually wanted thirds of it. That has never happened in my house before. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Melt In Your Mouth Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2004
To my family, these just tasted like pork chops with soy sauce on them. It didn't seem like the extra cooking time did anything to make them taste better. I think I would rather cook my pork chops for 30 minutes in the oven breaded than to spend this much time on this.

Creamy Slow Cooker Potato Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2004
I thought this recipe would be more flavorful. It wasn't cheesy enough either. I added extra chessy and I still could barely taste it.

This is the perfect roast recipe! I absolutely loved it! I don't think I will ever make roast another way again.

Best Chicken Salad Ever I

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2004
I liked the texture of this recipe. The combination of nuts, apples and raisins was good. I thought it was too dry with just 2 tablespoons of dressing in it so I added more. I was kind of confused as too wether she meant mayo or something else by "creamy salad dressing". I used mayo but I might make it again using ranch dressing. My kids wouldn't eat it at all but I liked it.

Old-Fashioned Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2003
I think I'm going to experiment with this recipe a little and then maybe it could be better. The cookies were very soft and I liked the taste but they came out almost an inch thick. I like cookies that are thinner than that so I think I'll play around with the amount of baking powder/soda in this recipe. They were almost like little cakes rather than cookies.

Heather's Best Ever Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2003
This was okay. Everytime I make a recipe that calls for ranch dressing in it and its baked the ranch dressing ends up getting greasy and losing it's taste. I won't make this again.

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2003
My family and I loved this recipe. Even the kids ate it. I think I would call it sweet and sour chicken rather than candied chicken breasts. I fixed it exactly like the recipe said and it was wonderful.

Eccles Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2003
I actually haven't tried this recipe yet, I just wanted to know if the submitter could please comment and say what the recipe is for the pastry? This sounds like a recipe my grandmother used to make and when she passed away no one knew how to make this anymore. I would really love to try this recipe.

Cowboy Hash

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
Thank you thank you thank you Hallie for this recipe! This recipe was a Godsend for me when it was the day before payday and I had lots of essential cooking items missing from my kitchen i.e. milk, butter, eggs etc. I enjoyed the taste although I can't say the same for my kids. It was definately an easy meal to make with spare groceries.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
I made this bread as muffins and my whole family loved them. They were moist and delicious. The muffins had a wonderful texture because I used a ziplock bag to mash up the bananas which left a few banana chunck in the muffins.

Cheater Pot Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2003
Even if it tasted terrible I still would have rated this one at least 4 stars for convenience sake. It was very quick to make and fortunately it tasted good too :) My whole family ate it up. I used canned veggies instead of the frozen mixed veggies because my family doesn't like everything that's in the mixed. I used one can of corn, 1 can of green beans, and 1 can of peas. I might not use the peas next time because they ended up kind of mushy.
