Not much to say tonight but I wanted to make a blog.
Our hearts ache and our sympatheys go out to the people of Boston and Waco!! This is so sad! It reminds me of Spain when the Basque would explode cars in saville decades ago. The one thing we learnd was that we just had to go about living our lives no mater what!
We may have found a larger apartment. thing is we both need new glasses(I steped on myn and my eyes have changed a lot!)The apartment is basicly a block from us so it would not be a major move. It is a two bed room apartment which means we could spread out. Our bed room is the size of a walk in closet and the living room is not much larger but it beats a homless shelter!
Well, we both turnd a year older. I am 49 and Carolyn is 50. My Cousin Jane is now 53 and Brian is 51. My how time flys!
I am getting better at cooking. I still have a long way to go but I am better at it. If we had a defrient lay out in the kitchen the kitchen would be perfict! its a big room.
Lucky is doing good. Still trying to be friends with Symba(the neighbors cat)but Symba will have non of that. Lucky has a GF now as well. Well, to us Amber is his GF. She is a cute little white poodle.
The trees are budding and the snow has melted. Spring is here! We are getting ready to plant in pots. We just need the seeds.
Next month we may hit Aldi's down near Amherst, MASS and may go to the Walmart there to get my glasses. My eyes are worse then Carolyns. Her glasses are ok but scratched.
Well, I gues thats all for now.
Oh, I am writing to a young man on Texas death row and sent him three books. I hope he gets a change in sentince since he has a date this year.
Have a great night!

Good luck with your move. Aldi's can have some really good deals on seeds. Even if they are last year's stock, the germination rate should be fine if the seeds were stored well. Heck! I abused my seeds and am still planting 4 year old seed and getting results. Although, my carrots didn't do well last year. Only about 30% came up.

About Me
I was born in cadiz, Spain but was raised on the wonderfull island of Okinawa. We moved to United States in 1972 at age 8. I am learning to cook and care for my self at age 46. This IS a chalinge!!
My favorite things to cook
Wow, so many!! I love the foods of Okinawa and Spain the best but I do make mostly Mexican food. I do live about an hour away from Mexico afterall. The food of the South is great, mum's kin moved to VA in 1632. Chinese food is allso awasome!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmm, maby mum making real fried chicken(I dont eat chicken any more)and making greens and corn bread. Mum was from the rural South and knew how to cook! Da was from canada but I dont think he was a cook.
My cooking triumphs
Finly baked bread that was good. NOT a brick or raw. People evan asked for the recipe!
My cooking tragedies
Are only lesons. A learning tool.
