Three Feet of Snow on the Way!

Get ready folks! Some places are going to recive about 3 ft of snow all in a mater of a day or two.
We drove to MASS today to recycle our botles and cans and nearly ran out of gas. We only recived $2.40 on what we took. We got lost on the way home.
In my life or at least in my past I have tended to try to do to many things at one time and I now watch for such things. Once the apartment is ready I am going to concentrate on just a few subjects to study such as math and English. but getting this place clean and neat is not going as well as I had hoped. The person who was helping us was sopose to come by yesterday or today but never showd up, never phoned and did not respond to emails. So at this point I gues it is up to us.
I like it here in New Kerry! Having lived in Texas for 39 long years I find the changes to be so nice! the one thing I am disaponted about is the "liberty community" or "Free State Project" community does not seem like a community. This sadens me! We both seem to get along with our neighbers and others who are not activist. Seeing all that has hapend up here one might think we would just leave and move some where else but we like the people and the weather and nature New Kerry(formaly New Hampshire)has to offer.
We have a box, good sized box of books to give away and offer on Paper Back Swap( we can earn some credits and help de-clutter(clutter is not our friend save that clutter likes to follow us whereever we go, whatever we do). I spent over an hour on just one bookcase and its not a big bookcase and I am still not finished.
Cooking will be intresting this month since we have no food stamps and no cash and no gas in the car so we have to make do with what we have and hope to find a ride into Keene to go to the Community Kitchen once a week for a food box.
Well, I need to go to bed. I am puting the education/study into action in my head to see what I can do as well as running thrue my head what to do and how to keep cleaning/organizing.
Be safe my friends and stay warm!

How can we help you become more organized? I think that is the lament of many people! How far do you live from Keene? Would it be possible to walk? Without gas for transportation, I know that you must get ready for plenty of exercise by walking places!

Just take one book shelf,or one room at a time each day to clean and organize. Then keep it that way. Before you know it the whole house will be clean and organized. A place for everything and everything in its place is my motto. Keep dishes done after each meal.Don't ever let them sit over night , etc. Keep laundry done frequently and all put away.I wish I were there I would love to come and help you get organized.

I know I've mentioned this before - but see if there is a local church you & Carolyn would be interested in attending. Once you get attached to a local congregation, they will usually get attached to you and be able to help. Does Keene have a community transportation system that would assist with getting you to places? Is there a food bank? We have Second Harvest here that gathers up "throw outs" from the grocery stores and other food outlets and makes it accessible to people who need it - - Does Keene have something like this? Stay warm and safe Seamus!

About Me
I was born in cadiz, Spain but was raised on the wonderfull island of Okinawa. We moved to United States in 1972 at age 8. I am learning to cook and care for my self at age 46. This IS a chalinge!!
My favorite things to cook
Wow, so many!! I love the foods of Okinawa and Spain the best but I do make mostly Mexican food. I do live about an hour away from Mexico afterall. The food of the South is great, mum's kin moved to VA in 1632. Chinese food is allso awasome!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmm, maby mum making real fried chicken(I dont eat chicken any more)and making greens and corn bread. Mum was from the rural South and knew how to cook! Da was from canada but I dont think he was a cook.
My cooking triumphs
Finly baked bread that was good. NOT a brick or raw. People evan asked for the recipe!
My cooking tragedies
Are only lesons. A learning tool.
