Hello. Wow, I have not made a blog since Nov!
Well, today in 2009 was the fire that changed my life!
First was the fire and soon after that I found out my mum has alzhimers. I never thought I would ever be happy again but now I have a wonderfull, beautifull wife, we live where I want to be living(New Kerry)and we have Lucky(my mums dog)and we have books. The change did not hapen over night and I lost some friends along the way but now I am happy!
I guess thats realy all I want to say today but I want to encourge all those going thrue grief and loss that time heals but you will always have an empty spot in your heart but you will be happy if you just hang in there!

Seamus, our lives change daily - bad things happen to good people and we cannot understand or explain why. Sometimes during the midst of life's storms, we cannot imagine there will be a brighter day. None of us know what the future will hold but I know the one that holds my future. God's blessings to you and your love in 2013! Thank you for sharing :)

About Me
I was born in cadiz, Spain but was raised on the wonderfull island of Okinawa. We moved to United States in 1972 at age 8. I am learning to cook and care for my self at age 46. This IS a chalinge!!
My favorite things to cook
Wow, so many!! I love the foods of Okinawa and Spain the best but I do make mostly Mexican food. I do live about an hour away from Mexico afterall. The food of the South is great, mum's kin moved to VA in 1632. Chinese food is allso awasome!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmm, maby mum making real fried chicken(I dont eat chicken any more)and making greens and corn bread. Mum was from the rural South and knew how to cook! Da was from canada but I dont think he was a cook.
My cooking triumphs
Finly baked bread that was good. NOT a brick or raw. People evan asked for the recipe!
My cooking tragedies
Are only lesons. A learning tool.
