Today I recived a letter from the NPRC informing me that da's medals from when he was in usa army are being replaced and sent to me!!
Da served in the 6th ID, F co., and in 329th TC, Heavy Boat Company as well as in the USA Navy, serving for a time on the USS Shasta AE-6.
This letter was only for his army medals, now I must request his navy medals.
Da was born in James Bay neighberhood of Victoria, BC and playd futbol for the Victoria Warf Rats. He and my grand da, who was from ireland(Grand ma was from Scotland)were "stokers" on the Estavan.
Da latter came to usa and joind USA Army...
In loving memory of James Connor, Maj., USAR 4/4/29-4/4/82

The letter came at a very approprite time. It was great of you to request the medals. One other thing, being able to serve in the armed forces of two different nations is a very rare opportunity and something you can talk about with pride. Congratulations!

About Me
I was born in cadiz, Spain but was raised on the wonderfull island of Okinawa. We moved to United States in 1972 at age 8. I am learning to cook and care for my self at age 46. This IS a chalinge!!
My favorite things to cook
Wow, so many!! I love the foods of Okinawa and Spain the best but I do make mostly Mexican food. I do live about an hour away from Mexico afterall. The food of the South is great, mum's kin moved to VA in 1632. Chinese food is allso awasome!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmm, maby mum making real fried chicken(I dont eat chicken any more)and making greens and corn bread. Mum was from the rural South and knew how to cook! Da was from canada but I dont think he was a cook.
My cooking triumphs
Finly baked bread that was good. NOT a brick or raw. People evan asked for the recipe!
My cooking tragedies
Are only lesons. A learning tool.
