I made this for lunch it is definately a keeper...I, too, used the whole 8 oz box of mushrooms as I had nothing else to use them in and didn't want them to go to waste...After I browned the patties,I added the mushrooms and onions and 2 cups of boullion and let them cook until the patties were done. Then, I took them out and let the mushrooms and onions simmer until tender...Then, I added 6 tbls of brown gravy mix....Came out perfect...Put the patties back in to heat them through....Served them with mashed potatoes and lima beans...I have a couple salisbury steak recipes, but this is less labor intensive and more flavorful than the others...BTW I added an extra 1/3 cup of bread crumbs as I didn't think the mixture would hold together when cooking..
