About this Cook
Love to try new recipes. Love and am obsessed with cookbooks. but like to keep things simple. Love the outdoors. No children, but a 11 week old bouvier puppy named Merlin.
My favorite things to cook
I love using my slow cooker. I also love to bake. Anything from breads, to cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from an Irish/French background. One of my favourite french canadian recipes is sugar pie.
My cooking triumphs
Hmmm...not sure I have any. Guys at work would say my cheesecakes or boyfriend would say chcoloate chip cookies.
My cooking tragedies
Pastry:( I keep trying to make butter tarts. My grandmother made the best butter tarts but I just can't seem to get it. Probably a good thing for my waist line.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies
Love! Love! Love! this receipe. Thank you so much for sharing! I did take the advice and added the extra cream cheese, sugar and baking powder, but still found the recipe to be easy to work with. I made valentine cookie flowers for my bestfriend and placed them in a flower pot. I'll post some photos soon. The extras went to work with my husband and everyone loved them! Thanks for sharing!

Mall Pretzels
So this is my first review of anything I have made off this website. I felt I needed to review this one because of how pleased I was with the outcome! I would consider myself an average cook/baker. I decided to give this recipe a shot cause I was bored one night, and I am so glad that I did! It was fantastic!!! I didn't make any changes to the ingredients, I just let thing sit a little longer and only because I was doing other things at the time. So I used my kitchen aid to knead the dough and it only took around 4 min. I let the dough sit for about an 1 1/2 and let the pretzels sit out about another hour before baking. Once out of the oven dipped in a little butter and cinnamon/sugar mixture. Loved them. Think I am going to try whole wheat flour next time. Thanks Jeannie for sharing.
