Roasted Garlic

Reviewed: May 29, 2003
I have bad luck with baked/roasted garlic it seems. With this one, I dont think the little garlic had nearly enough time to cook. It took forever to get the garlic soft. After about 50 mintues, I took it out and it -was- tasty! I guess I'll just have to raise the temp. slightly and let it cook for more time. Thanks!

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: May 29, 2003
A classic! This is a wonderful, simple, and easy casserole to make, and my family loves it! I couldnt find the green bean casserole recipe, so Im really glad this was here! Very simple! I added a teaspoon of black pepper on accident, but it turns out a-ok~ ^_^ Not for calorie counters though!

Baked Garlic

Reviewed: May 29, 2003
Hmm, maybe I did something wrong, but my garlic was still kinda hard after the cooking time. But after I left it in there for a much, much longer time, it turned out nice! I could not bring myself to put butter on it though, so I used olive oil instead. Thanks! ^_^

Honey Lemon Tea

Reviewed: May 29, 2003
Lemon 'tea' is the best thing for a sore throat. It kills bacteria, and soothes the throat. I do not think you should add the extra sugar, though! And its best to roll two lemons, juice them, then stick a slice of the lemon in the water. Very, very good! ^_^

Classic Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: May 25, 2003
In a frantic search for "the" green bean casserole recipe, I found this. My family made this alot, but this one was very rich. Maybe it was the Cheez Whiz? And I dont know what happened, but it came out a little watery. I would have left it in the oven longer, but it looked like it was burning. ;_; I found another recipe that doesnt call for cheezwhiz, and it turned out ok! It -was- an interesting taste though!

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: May 25, 2003
My boyfriend made these the other day. I didnt try them, because I am a vegetarian, but they looked good to me! ^-^ He said they were a little salty but not flavorful, and dry. We added a little more cayenne pepper than called for, but maybe the peppers didnt have enough time to heat up. Overall they were good, and we'll make them again, but with a little flavor modification! Thanks!

Arrabbiata Sauce

Reviewed: May 22, 2003
This sauce was amazing. My boyfriend and I made this last night, and I still cannot get over how great it turned out. It was very quick, and very easy to make. I served it over whole grain penne and mushrooms, and I was very very pleased. Since we like things hot, I added a dash of cayenne pepper to the sauce and that made it super super spicy! Next time I wont add the fresh parsley though! ^-^ Great for my first homemade sauce!

Baked Potato

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2002
Your Basic Great Baked Potato! Before you cook it, roll the wet potato in some salt, pepper, all season, and garlic powder. This makes the skin taste so so good! Stuff it with some brocolli and corn, I'll never go back to microwaves again. ^-^

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2002
I love Eggplant Parmesan, and now I dont have to go out to get it! This was a wonderful recipe, and a learning experince at that. It took me a couple tries to not get the eggplant mushy, but I finally got it right! I also added a tablespoon of red wine to the sauce, and some garlic powder, and that worked great too!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
This is another great Guacamole recipie! This has a wonderful combination of flavors! The cayenne, cilantro, and garlic work wonders for dressing up Guac! I am so impressed with the way it came out! I added sliced olives on top for looks.. but I do not suggest doing this at all. It made it taste very weird. Its great alone and I do not think it needs any changing. ^_^

Easy Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
A great quick Guacamole! This was very quick and easy! I also had no idea the lime juice would keep the avocado from turning brown! I added a little dash of Garlic Power and Cilantro to it and it tasted great!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
These are -so- good! My friend sent me this recipe, and at first I was a little nervous to try it out. But when I made it, it was so great! These things are so addictive! I did have a little bit of a problem the first time I made them, and maybe some of it is trail and error on what works well for you. I eat the mixture in a pita pouch as well! yum!

Amy's Healthy Fruity

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
This is a wonderful snack! I was so pleased with the way this turned out! The last time I made it, I used the orange juice that is blended with strawberrys (or the grapefruit kind if you like a little tang!) and it tasted really good too!

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
This was my very first time making a Casserole dish and I loved it! I cooked it for everyone in my family and they also enjoyed it as well. This is a wonderful recipe, But I have altered it some over the times I have made it. Cut back on the salt and pepper slightly. If you think its not creamy enough, *add some honey mustard over the broccoli and croutons* It tastes wonderful! Also, be sure to mix milk into the soup. It was great served over wild rice and a chicken breast! YUM!

Navajo Fry Bread II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2001
Another good fry bread recipe! Only thing though, you might want to edit the salt. Two tablespoons is -alot- of salt. I only used about 1 or 2 teaspoons last time I made this. Other than that it is good! Mine always seem to come out a little small, haha! ^-^

Fry Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2001
Wonderful recipe. I agree that this is the closest thing to Native american fry bread out there. It is wonderful with honey and sugar, and also with a little salsa and lettuce. ^^ Thanks for adding it!

Tomato Enchilada Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2001
Wonderful. My first time trying this recipe and it came out great! ^-^ I thought it would be too much tomato, but, it came out just fine. The prep time was good, and not being a master chef myself, it was easy for me to handle! ^-^ I did have a little bit of problem getting the tortillas to stay closed but I think that was my own fault ^^ A little butter solved that! Wonderful, I'll use it again!! ^-^
