Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
I love this soup!!! I'm not a big fan of pureed soups so I leave the skin on the tomatoes and skip the food processor step, that way they stay together and add substance to the otherwise thin soup. My husband like meat in his soups so I just brown some hamburger with garlic & basil & pour the soup over the meat for him. I just like it with a fresh baguette. mmm mmm mmmmmm!

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I liked the sweetness with the salmon, but the maple with the garlic on top of fish just got to me a little. I think I'll make the same glaze but with brown suger instead of maple syrup.

Chicken in Your Face

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Really good & really simple. The sugar balances out the salty from the soy & bacon.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
Soooo good! I put twice the cheese in mine & it came oozing out into the pan which made the sauce extra good. I'm not a big fan of cordon blue but the sauce made these sooooo so tasty! Wll make regularly.

Orange Strawberry Spice Scones

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I love them! The strawberries are optional but add a nice texture. Just a few hints: The coocking time really varies depending on the depth of your circle. If you want them to be moist, put them into an airtight container over night...how I like mine. And if the butter is too soft, the dough will be too soft.

Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
Not quite like home, but close. The second time around I added another tbsp of sugar, a few shakes of worchestershire, some garlic salt & cut the cider vinegar in half. As close as I've come to SC&B...for all you NC natives.
