About this Cook
Cooking is one of my many passions. I especially enjoy any events when I have the opportunity to cook and bake for a multitude of people, such as family reunions. Aside from cooking, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, lauging and having a good time. Food is as we know one of those things that brings people closer together.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking anything I grew myself! Nothing tasts better than what I call 'pure' food. From the home made vinegar made from the apples grown in my own back yard, to the warm, fluffy potatoes on my plate. It all just gives me such a warm feeling that I have yet to find from any other of lifes simple pleasures.
My cooking tragedies
The worst thing I have ever made was my first try at making chocolate chip cookies from scratch. They came out more like mini frisbees. . . circular, flat, and hard! I was only fifteen at that time and it still makes me smile when I think back on that. I did not have my own apron, so I was covered in flour. My brothers were calling me 'powdered dougnut!' They were not eaten, so we threw them at each other until mom yelled at us.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad
Super awsome and easy! Only change I made was since I like a little more zing to my potato salad, I added 3 TBS of cider vinegar. Just a personal preference. But absolutely delicious as the recipe is, and will be a regular dish in my kitchen.

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar
Suprisingly delicious! Very good on a hot summer day when you just want something different. The berries offset the acididy of the vinegar, which offsets the tartness of the berries. You HAVE to try it once. It's cheap and quick to make, so you're not out on anything. This one has it's place in my recipe box with love.

Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse
Its almost like a cheesecake in texture, and like a cheesecake it's hard to stop eating it! It's sweet with a bit of a tang to it. Just make sure to strain the raspberries very well so you dont get seeds in what should be smooth. We will be keeping this one.
