Maria's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
I doubled the sauce and it was way to sweet!!!! If I make again, I will use way less honey...maybe 1/4/ cup. Tried everything to save it, but it was just too far gone.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2013
I have made this about 10 times, using the "Butter Flaky Crust" recipe. I won first place last night in an apple pie competition using this recipe. Easy, and delicious!!! I followed the recommendation of several other reviews, and I used 2 tbs of flour and 2 tbs of cornstarch. Perfect consistency. I also added a teaspoon of cinnamon, a 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. I highly recommend!!!!!

Awesome Roast Beef

It was good....a little dry though. I prefer cooking it in the oven. The gravy came out good though!

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
This was a good recipe! I used breadcrumbs instead of cornflakes, and they came out great. A little too spicy for my taste, but my hubby loved them!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
This was a good base recipe...changed a little. It was very salty and peppery (I only used 3 bouillon cubes, and the 1 tbs of black pepper was way too much. I only used a teaspoon and it was very peppery). I used 1 can of cream of chick soup and 1 can of cream of mushroom. I added about a 1 1/2 cup of water. The last hour I put fresh veggies in (string beans, broccoli, cauliflower, and corn), and added about 2-3 tbs of cornstarch mixed in about 1/4 cup of water to thicken it up. It was hardy, and very tasty.

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
I used blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. It was phenom...going to make it again today! I will add some more cornstarch though, because it was a bit runny. I also brushed egg wash on the top.

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
I wasn't sure what I was going to make for dinner, and I looked in my e mail and I saw this recipe. Super easy, and I had all of the ingredients in the house. I love when that happens!! I made with new potatoes roasted in the oven with salt, pepp, and italian seasoning. Delish! Hubby even wants me to make it again tonight!

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
It was the first burger I ever made myself...and it was very good!! I didn't have cajun seasoning, so I used southwest seasoning instead...worked fine! I used a chile pepper instead of a jalapeno because I didn't it. It had a slight kick...but not an overdose.

Easy Chili I

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
It was the first time I didn't use the ready made packets of chili seasoning, and it came out good!! I didn't put chili peppers in because I didn't have any, and the chili was good, but not hot at all. We enjoyed it!!

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

It was very good!!! I chose it because of all of the great reviews, and it came out great! Didn't use as many garlice cloves, but pretty much followed it to the letter.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
My husband considers himself a "wing connoisseur", and this recipe BLEW HIS MIND!!!! He wants me to make them all of the time now! We use Franks hot wing sauce, and I usually double the recipe. I taught him how to make them last week, so now he can take over the reigns. They are crispy, and delicious! I don't like wing sauce, so I dunk mine in bbq sauce...but they are great!
