Chicken Pot Pie VII

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
It was pretty good! I am a horrible cook and this turned out good! Next time I will take the advice on the wax paper because the crust was difficult for me as well. A screaming child probably didn't help. :)

Arny Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
This said 24 servings so I thought that meant 24 cookies. HA! It made like 60. Now I see where it says 4 dozen. These cookies are awesome! The frosting wasn't enough to cover all the cookies, but I was kind of glad because I got sick of frosting them all! :)

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Wow!!!! This was really good! I've never made potato soup before. I made it exactly as the recipe said except I used evaporated milk instead of half and half, just because I needed to use some up. I also added a little cheddar cheese and bacon bits! I served with Chedder Biscuits as suggested. Oh and I didn't peel the potatoes cause I'm lazy. :)

Hard Rock Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
This was good. I'm not really a rock candy fan, but my family is. They have been requesting it for the last year now. :) I'm going to try suckers for the kid's Christmas presents as pictured. Thanks for the recipe!

Pollock Montreal

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
This was good, but I made a few modifications only because I didn't have what was called for. I used black pepper and cayenne pepper on top of the fish. I didn't have green peppers. I used red onion, tomatoes from a can, and a little chopped garlic. Then instead of cheddar I used shredded Parmesan. I'm a new cook so mostly I make things up having, no idea how they'll taste. :)

Easy Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Wow! This is good! I made some changes though: took the advice of some other reviewers and added a cup less water. I also used kidney beans as I couldn't find chili beans. I added a little white wine as someone else suggested. I added a bit more chili powder and a little cumin. I used turbinado sugar instead of brown sugar. I used petite diced tomatoes instead of stewed. Thanks for the recipe. I have faith in my ability to cook with TVP now. :)

I loved this. I made cupcakes for Halloween and put black icing on them. I added a bit extra vanilla and a bit extra milk as recommended by other. Loved it!

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
I thought this recipe was good and really easy! I cooked in 450 degree oven for about 30-35 minutes. I stirred them three times. I covered with foil as recommended by someone else and that kept them from burning. I also cut the potatoes into 4ths and 8ths instead of halves.

Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
This was awesome. I used a real pumpkin and just pureed it in the food processor. So easy. Then I used Pie Crust III, which made it even easier. I think I cooked it a little too long though. It was still really good!

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I had some trouble with this one, but I also added flax which I think made it too thick. I did add extra milk which helped, but it was still pretty think. I also just wiped the skillet with olive oil and I don't think I used enough because they started to kind of burn at the end. I also made the drops too big I think because they turned out huge. I'm a newish cook so I think this is why all the trouble. Anyway, give it a try it's still good.
