Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

I've made these several times as is, with wonderful results. Late last night I realized I was completely out of honey right in the middle of putting the marinade together (and I live in the boonies - finding an open store is impossible at that hour). So I used an equal part of maple syrup instead and it came out fantastic. Slightly different flavor of course, but an excellent variation on an already lovely recipe.

Vegan Brownies

Made these many times, yummy! Based on other reviews, I've settled in to using 1/2 oil and 1/2 applesauce or all shortening instead of oil. And thanks so much for the tip to mix the flour and water first before anything else - that worked like a charm to banish the crumbliness problem

Soda Cracker Cookies

Thanks for the recipe, these are wonderful and addictive! I've made them several times for gifts and always have to make a double batch for us. Instead of soda crackers, try using pretzel crackers (I think they're called Flipsides) - makes them even better!

Apple Pecan Cornbread Dressing

This is SO delicious and easy to make! I think it's perfect as is, needs no modifications. I've made this for holiday gatherings for the past 3 years, and every year I have to double what I make because everybody raids the leftovers. They love it. I'm getting ready to make it again right now at a friend's request. Definitely a keeper

Baked Parmesan Perch

This is good, gives a crispy and mild fish that even the kids liked...although perhaps it is a little bland as written like other reviewers have suggested. Since my in-laws gave us 10lbs of perch (!) I've tried this recipe again a couple more times with modifications. I marinated the fillets for 30 minutes in an herb marinade I usually use for chicken (it's similar to an Italian dressing), that really helped give it zing. The next time, I marinated the fish but I was out of bread crumbs so I also used crushed corn flakes instead for the coating - yummy! This was definitely our favorite version. Thanks for sharing a versatile recipe!
