I have a beautiful & loving wife and three wonderful children. I literally grew up in the restaurant industry all my growing years. I used to own and run a restaurant for a short time, but decided we were spending too much time with the business and wanted to focus on our kids. There is a part of me that desires to go back into the food industry but may after the kids are all in college. Otherwise my days off of work is spent experimenting with foods/recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Hawaiian & Filipino foods. Fried chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
During the "winter" months it is a tradition we wait all year for to cook Oxtail soup, whole roasted pork, abalogne soup, deep fried turkey, beer boiled Samoan crab or lobster, deep fried reef fish with a ground pork/blackbean/egg drop gravy.
My cooking triumphs
One day, I ran out of food at my restaurant because a client bought EVERYTHING! The guy had hired a caterer for a get together and didn't show up.
My cooking tragedies
Forgot to add salt to a dish and a customer ate his food without complaint...somehow I found out and everyone that had ordered got it free on the house...otherwise the mistake was found and everyone else had to pay$
