This recipe has phenomenal flavour. I didn't add cinnamon or nutmeg or any other spices, I only used the ingredients the recipe called for. I used granny smiths and I wouldn't pick another apple for my next pie. The only reason this pie wasn't perfect was because it was quite runny. The crust was done right and was perfect and not soggy. However, when I cut the pie (it was still warm) the juices just flooded to the bottom of the pie plate. As a result, the pieces didn't look pretty but instead were more sort of 'plopped' onto a plate with icecream. Didn't look as pretty as I had hoped but even considering all that I would still make it again and I'd be happy if it turned out the same as it did this time around. I am excited about how great it was - it was my very first pie ever and I even made the crust from scratch!
