Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2014
I followed the basic recipe but did make a few changes that people said would make the cookies chewy. Well I don't know what went wrong but these (all 9 dozen of them) are dry and almost powdery. Very bland flavor too, even with vanilla. So while they are not the worst cookies I've ever had/baked, they are just VERY plain.

Jelly Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
I've never had so many people ask for my recipe before. The only thing I changed was that I used apricot jam and a few slivers of almonds on top. Yummy.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
These were easy to make and fantastic. They were sooo chewy. I must stress that you need to take them out of the oven a bit early. They will not look done. But they are. And then they're wonderful. They got rave reviews.

Debbie's Amazing Apple Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
This was fantastic. I used two mini loaf pans. I cut waaaaay down on the sugar using 1/2 cup Brown sugar and about 3/4 cup white. I also added in 1 cup of rhubarb. It's delicious!

Plum Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
Fantastic. This got rave reviews across the board. I added corn starch and tapioca pearls to thicken, however I will add a bit more. It was too soft. Also I cut the sugar in half in the filling. However it was still too sweet! I will cut it down even more. Other than that. AMAZING!!!!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
This was delicious. I made the changes recommended and it was perfect. I made chocolate dipped strawberries for the garnish. The whole thing was a hit. The only thing to be aware of is that my cake turned out more like a giant chocolate fudge brownie than a cake consistancy. That's not a complaint on my part. I could eat the entire thing myself, but it's good to know going into it. This obviously was super duper easy too, with the mixes.

Vegetarian Korma

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
This was delicious. My kids and husband loved it, even though they are super american boring food lovers. I personally would add more jalepenos or something more spicy (for me, not the rest of the family). Perfect, and I will cook again soon.

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
This was amazing!!!! I added a bunch of garlic, but otherwise left it as is. A huge hit with the whole family, even as leftovers the next day for lunch!

German Marble Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
This was a good, decent, cake. But not great. I made this tonight for my family and added an almond glaze for the top. The cake itself was a little too light for my taste. I prefer a heavy cake. This was really easy to make though, which is always appreciated.

Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
I was trying to use up some mini marshmallows and this recipe fit the bill. However by following the recipe they are a sloppy mess. I cooked them for 25 min at 325. They definitely need a longer higher temp. I may try them again tomorrow. As they are they are only usable as ice cream topping. they are also way too sweet!...And I love sugar.

Au Gratin Potatoes II

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
First off, it took 90 minutes for the potatoes to cook through. But even then the taste was awful. The cream of celery soup was not a good flavor for this dish. I ended up throwing out almost all of it. I will not be making this again.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
This was delicious. I've been trying to make a decent meatball for awhile and finally I found one. Something I tweaked was I only added 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper flakes and no not sauce. Next time I would add a bit of garlic too. One can never have enough garlic. I will definitely make three batches next time just to freeze!
