Cowboy Hash

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2015
My husband liked this. I served it with Jalepeno mashed potatoes. I also added a package of Lipton's Onion Soup Mix. Add a salad and it's an easy and complete meal.

Quinoa Vegetable Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2015
I liked this salad and will definitely make it again. The balsamic vinegar turned the quinoa and vegetables a dark brown color. Next time I will use a white balsamic vinegar to preserve the color and appearance of the salad.

Harissa Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
Husband loved this recipe! And he doesn't even like chicken, so that's saying something.

Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
These were quite good. A little labor intensive to make the sandwiches though. I used the filling as icing and then sprinkled chopped peanuts on top. I have to say I prefer it this way as opposed to a sandwich type cookie.

Fancy Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
I thought I would love these. But thought it just too much going on in the brownie. I guess my taste preferences tend toward a simpler brownie. At the party I served them at about half the people agreed with me and the other half loved them.

Romance Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Made this for dinner tonight and I really liked it. I served it with meatballs. I did add 1 teaspoon of sugar though. Just to give it a hint of sweetness. Overall, I thought it was a good, easy and quick sauce to make.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I just want to say i was scared to death to try this. I have never worked with chocolate before. Unless you count adding chocolate chips to a cookie recipee! This was super easy! It was time consuming to dip each strawberry but super easy! I did follow the advice of one reviewer and didn't let the water touch the bottom of the double boiler. I will be making these again....and again....and again!

Dana's Famous Swedish Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
I made these last week and they were okay. I did not have the same problem as the other reviewer with the sour cream and bread crumbs, my mixture turned out just fine. I do agree that the clove is a little overpowering. I made a brown gravy (package mix) and added the leftover sour cream to it to make it creamier. Over all it wasn't bad, just not my preference in tastes.

Poppy Seed Bundt Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2010
I have made this recipe 3 times now and I have gotten compliments each time. The second time I made it, I increased the vanilla extract to 2 tsp. The third time I made it I didn't have enough vanilla, so I added 1/2 tsp of almond extract. All three ways were quite tasty, but my husband and I liked variation #2 the best. This will become one of my "go to" recipes. The cake is moist and dense with a hint of cinnamon. It is a wonderful change from the standard chocolate or white cake!
