Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

I served this at a holiday party and a lot of people enjoyed it. But, for me, it was way too sweet with the thick chocolate frosting on top. If I make this again I will drizzle the frosting on (warming it slightly first) and not have the frosting cover the whole thing. Also, it is best served ice cold.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

We love this recipe! We use ground chicken or ground turkey and add shredded carrot and fresh minced ginger. These are also great in warmed soft flour tortillas for a more hearty main dish.

Shirley's Maine Clam Chowder

I added garlic, salt, and cracked pepper. I used 3 cans of chopped clams in place of what was called for in the recipe because I did not have access to shucked clams. My family loved this recipe. It was a little "ligher" than a traditional clam chowder and we liked that. We will make this again.

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

This is an very good recipe. I really appreciated being able to make this in a slow cooker so not heat up my kitchen by using my oven in the summer. I doubled the recipe to serve a larger group. I did add just a bit more molassas and brown suger and just a tad of Liquid Smoke to the recipe but even before making those changes the favor was good and the consistency was perfect. I will certaintly be making these again.

Angel Pie

Delicious light and yummy lemon pie with a shell that melts in your mouth. The directions do not tell you to put the beaten egg whites into the pie plate and to "mold" the eggwhite edges upwards to hold in the filling after the shell is baked. I have made a similar pie before so I knew to do this. I did not use a bouble bolier as the instructions said, but just cooked the egg yolk mixture over medium low heat until it was thick and began to boil. Be sure to cool both the shell and the lemon mixture completely as the instructions tell you. I used two cups of whipped cream and added a little vanilla and powdered sugar to the whipped cream for a hint of sweetening. I garnished the top with a few fresh red raspberries on each piece. I will definately make this recipe again as it is a real winner. I served this for company and everyone loved it!

Fairy Godmother Rice

My family loved this side dish. It was really tasty. I used quick brown rice instead of the white rice. I, too, could not find thin egg noodles so I used angel hair pasta that I broke up into short pieces. Almost everyone had two helpings of this dish. One of my daughters does not like onions, so she said she would make it with beef broth and just one package of onion soup mix if she were going to make it. I will definately be making this recipe for company. Thanks Ryan for sharing it.

Fiery Fish Tacos with Crunchy Corn Salsa

Baked Ziti I

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

This has become a tradition at our house for Christmas Eve. Our whole family just loves this and would be dissapointed if we had anything else. I, like others have suggested, like to add a little minced garlic for extra punch. It does take a while to reduce the sauce and extra time will be needed if you double the recipe. One of the best recipes ever!

Deep Dish Layered Salad

This salad is very fresh tasting and crunchy. We had it with our Easter meal and everyone loved it. I left out the green pepper and used fresh parmesan cheese in the recipe. Very good!
