Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
Wonderful dish! I eyeballed the ricotta and probably added 20oz and needed 2 large jars of garlic spaghetti sauce. It was wonderful and over-flowing!! Lots and lots of pasta!

Bread Pudding II

This is a great recipe! I've never made this before and added the raisins. Super-yummy! Not a huge fan of raisins so I think I'll keep them out but it's great either way. The measurements for the spices is dead-on!

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
Made this just as written and my boyfriend loved it! I used store-brand steak rolls and I buttered and broiled them first to make them flavored and crispy. Then after letting the beef soak and simmer in juice for about 30min, I put it all together and let it melt under the broiler. Served with corn on the cob - great meal! The next day, he was determined to make some on his own with the leftovers for lunch! Thank you!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
This is super-quick and tasty. I added extra garlic because we love garlic. I didn't add as much milk; I'd guess it was approx 1 1/2 cups or so. Thank you!

These are simply fabulous! The perfect combo of crispy outside and soft inside! I did 375 for 9 minutes, or just until they cracked. Thank you for this recipe! This is going in the safe-keep box! :)

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
Very simple and yummy recipe. Only thing I might change in future is to put a little chicken stock or something in while the chicken initially cooks. The chicken turned out dry and it was set on low for only 6 hours. Still good though and I did add a small can of mushrooms.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Awesome! Was my first time making this from scratch. Ended up adding a second small can of paste to thicken it up. I also decided to use my potato masher to break down the tomatoes so it wasn't so chunky. Everything was perfect. Thank you! :)

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
Made this one with 1 1/2 sticks butter just in case and it is awesome! It really doesn't seem to matter how much/little butter you use because it combines really well. I did let the bottom layer chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes before added the top layer. Does taste just like a gosh-darn PB cup!!! Thank you!

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
So I was worried about how they'd turn out because the shortening and dry ingredients didn't "crumb" together too well. And then it took a total of about 55-60min for it to brown on top decently. However, I just cut into it and holy , is that yummy! I did half white and brown sugar for the crust, then about 4 cups of frozen blueberries (only changes made). Wonderful!!!!! The BF will love it! Will definitely be trying with other berries and will try with butter next time rather than shortening. Thanks!!!

Lobster Newburg

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Really good recipe for a beginning cook. Made this for the BF and myself because we were craving seafood. Hit the spot but it's sooo rich! Took a bit to thicken and actually added a little flour for it to thicken quickly because of time. May try stuffing this in pastry next time like others mentioned - if I can get the sauce to thicken up enough. Would be fantastic for pasta!

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
Made this twice now and it's great. I just moved to the heart of PA Dutch country and the locals I know here seem to really like it. The second time, I did add some brown sugar (no more than 1/4c) and 1 chopped apple. Is an awful lot of sauerkraut (I did cut it down by 1lb second time) but I use the leftover for topping on hotdogs. Yummy. Thanks for letting me know how easy this is. :)
