Wonderfully simple recipe. Threw it in crockpot and left it for about 45-60min. Thanks!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Very yummy! Decided to make this because the BF's mom makes such a bangin' version that I had to try to make it - I was craving it! This is right ont he money! I have a bag of pudding mix, so I added about 3/4c of mix to all ingredients and it was perfect. Love it!

Lobster Newburg

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Really good recipe for a beginning cook. Made this for the BF and myself because we were craving seafood. Hit the spot but it's sooo rich! Took a bit to thicken and actually added a little flour for it to thicken quickly because of time. May try stuffing this in pastry next time like others mentioned - if I can get the sauce to thicken up enough. Would be fantastic for pasta!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
The pie was very good. Used 4c frozen blueberries that I had picked a couple months ago. I used 5T of cornstarch and the pie was very, very runny. I did a full top, baking at 400 for about 53 minutes. I will try to make again but have to find a way to get rid of the runny-ness.....

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
So I was worried about how they'd turn out because the shortening and dry ingredients didn't "crumb" together too well. And then it took a total of about 55-60min for it to brown on top decently. However, I just cut into it and holy , is that yummy! I did half white and brown sugar for the crust, then about 4 cups of frozen blueberries (only changes made). Wonderful!!!!! The BF will love it! Will definitely be trying with other berries and will try with butter next time rather than shortening. Thanks!!!

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
Made this twice now and it's great. I just moved to the heart of PA Dutch country and the locals I know here seem to really like it. The second time, I did add some brown sugar (no more than 1/4c) and 1 chopped apple. Is an awful lot of sauerkraut (I did cut it down by 1lb second time) but I use the leftover for topping on hotdogs. Yummy. Thanks for letting me know how easy this is. :)

Wonderful dish! I eyeballed the ricotta and probably added 20oz and needed 2 large jars of garlic spaghetti sauce. It was wonderful and over-flowing!! Lots and lots of pasta!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
Super easy and great for the men in our lives! I add minced garlic to the liquid and then I'll save the left overs and put leftover roast beef in it to soak. Makes the beef yummy and easy to make again the next day for the men who are afraid of cooking anything beyond eggs! LOL Thanks!

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
Made this just as written and my boyfriend loved it! I used store-brand steak rolls and I buttered and broiled them first to make them flavored and crispy. Then after letting the beef soak and simmer in juice for about 30min, I put it all together and let it melt under the broiler. Served with corn on the cob - great meal! The next day, he was determined to make some on his own with the leftovers for lunch! Thank you!

This is super-quick and tasty. I added extra garlic because we love garlic. I didn't add as much milk; I'd guess it was approx 1 1/2 cups or so. Thank you!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Awesome! Was my first time making this from scratch. Ended up adding a second small can of paste to thicken it up. I also decided to use my potato masher to break down the tomatoes so it wasn't so chunky. Everything was perfect. Thank you! :)
