Family recipe for fudge, pickled beets, potato salad, etc. We always color eggs with the kids for Easter and include the eggs in meals the next day. At Christmas we get together as a family and make cookies. A hot lava cake was one of my favorite triumphs...but now I don't remember where I got the recipe! Having children pull me away from cooking while the burner is still on....and my first attempt at an overnight Thanksgiving Turkey! Woke up to the wonderful smell of roasted Turkey, but when I opened the oven...all the meat had cooked away! Only the bones and crisp skin remained!
