Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This soup was a hit with my kids, who never were big fans of vegetable soup. Even my 13-year-old had a 2nd helping! I used a 3# roast but probably could have reduced to a 2# and also added beef broth since I like my soup less thick. Very nice blend of flavors and makes plenty.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
Wunnerful, wunnerful! I made these rolls to thank some neighbors for digging us out of the snowstorm (I'm in Denver). They were very easy to make, especially using the bread machine, and absolutely delicious. Be sure to roll them somewhat tight to keep the filling inside and then pinch end after cutting to keep them from unraveling.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
This is my family's favorite recipe using pork tenderloin from now on. In fact, it just might be my family's favorite recipe overall! Next time I think I'll try adding a little broth to make more sauce, though. Mushrooms might be a nice addition as well. Either way, this dish was delicious and easy to make. I'm planning on serving it the next time we have company.

Ribbon Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2004
This recipe was OK but not a favorite of ours. Didn't know where to use the vanilla extract but assumed it should have gone with the milk mixture. Very nice looking dessert, though.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2004
This salad was wonderful! I brought it to a potluck hosted by my Indonesian neighbor, and all her friends and family wanted seconds. Then I made it the next night for my own family, and my son said it was now his favorite salad. The dressing for this is very unique but has a wonderful flavor and goes very well with the spinach. The strawberries add their own special something to the salad and add to the beautiful presentation as well. I also liked the fact that it can be made in 1 hr. Definitely a family favorite from now on.

Beer Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2002
I made this recipe for the 1st time the other night, and my family loved it. As a last minute choice to make as an accompaniment with some polish sausage, this recipe was very easy and even my picky 9-year-old had seconds.
