Easy Chocolate Crackled Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
I made this with a triple chocolate cake mix with mini chocolate chips. I also let the dough sit in the fridge for 1 hour and also let the cookies rest on the pan for 5 minutes before removing. They were a hit with my children as well as nieces/nephews! (grown-ups too)

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
I double the recipe when I make it and freeze half the dough for another day. I bake it without toppings on top of corn mealed stone for 10 minutes before adding the toppings and baking for another 10 minutes. From start to finish it takes about an hour. I also found I need to roll it really thin because it does rise a lot in the over. So a really thin crust does not come out thin but the normal thickness of pizza. I also found I needed to knead it for a little longer than suggested. Not much longer, but until the dough was smooth in texture.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
After making ham with this glaze I was told by my husband to not "ever try another recipe again". I use the dark corn syrup and honey with butter and every 15 minutes I added a little more glaze to the ham. Because I always get the spiral sliced ham, I put wooden skewers in the ham to keep it from falling. I have used ground cloves as well as whole cloves and did not notice a difference between the two. I have had hams up to 12 pounds and just used one recipe on it. WONDERFUL!!!

Scrumptious Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This is always a hit at Thanksgiving and the only time I make this. If I am making it with real sweet potatoes, I add half the sugar and then taste it right before I put it in the pan to see if it needs more sugar. I have also made this with canned yams. One can = 1 1/2 cups so two cans work perfect. If I make it with the canned, I don't add any sugar until the end after I taste it. I also do not add nuts to it.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This is the BEST fudge I have ever eaten. We make it each holiday. It has won blue ribbons at the fair... We love adding marshmallows and toasted pecans at the end. A WINNER!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This pie has been a success ever since I started making it three years ago. I double the recipe each time and have no problems. Even my dad who thought only my mom's would do loves it!

Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
I added 1/3 cup sugar and that was the only change. My 11 month old son ate two pieces! There were no leftovers of this recipe.
