Not a veggie person but this was quite tasty - My daughter LOVED it. I followed readers suggestions and marinated them for about in hour in EVOO/balsamic/garlic/salt n pepper. Yummy!

Dill, Feta and Garlic Cream Cheese Spread

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
I used this for the filling for the garlic cheese chicken roll up recipe on this site - It was fantastic - Im not really sure I could handle it as a dip though, as I tasted it before stuffing it in the chicken - It was a bit strong for me straight.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
I made the dill, feta and garlic cream cheese spread for the stuffing - WOW - It was awesome!!! I didnt change a single thing in the recipe. My only complaint was it didnt get crispy enough. I would somehow like to be able to fry the outside of the chicken to make a crispy coating. I think this would have been wonderful as chicken Parmesan, which I will try next time. For those who didnt think there was enough coating, I re-breaded the chicken after I stuffed and rolled it and it seemed to be just fine. I cant wait to try this many different ways. After the chicken parm, I am gonna try them adding bacon to the cheese mixture.

Sedation

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
It was very sweet (which I knew by the ingredients). I likened it to a Sex on the Beach with a coconut flare. Personally I am not a fan of coconut in my drinks (bad experience). But if you like sweet and coconut w/o a heavy alcohol flavor, you would def. like this drink.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
Big hit - I even loved it and hate beans. I did mix the seasoning in with the sour cream n cream cheese as others suggested and used red and yellow bell peppers for more color. My only criticism is the portions/servings - I dont think it yields 56 servings and what is considered a large serving platter? The recipe was not quite enough for a 13x9 and too much for an 9x9.

Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
I used cool whip instead marshmallow and added a touch of lime aid concentrate and powdered sugar (to taste). I then took some of the limeaid concentrate and mixed in some powdered sugar and brushed it over the fruit to keep the bananas from turning brown (I did an american flag for the 4th)

Beet Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
Havent tried your recipe and need to find moms old one to see if its the same but this has always been my favorite cake growing up. The only way my mom could ever get a vegetable anywhere near me - LOL - this always ends up so moist and delicious - i sprinkle mine with some powdered sugar - OMG i may have to make this tonight - the best part of this cake is not telling anyone whats in it until its gone. It is so cool to see that someone else makes this too - Thank you for sharing cause I never know if I will be able to find the recipe or not.

Schweinebraten Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
Five stars cause the men of the house devoured it and raved about it (and that rarely happens). Me, personally, I wouldnt drink a beer if lost in a desert with no water, so I just couldnt get into the flavor - all I could taste was the beer (but I was the only one) I also thought it was way to heavy on the black pepper (again not a flavor I enjoy) - that was the only thing I could taste when I made the gravy, so I didnt serve the gravy. Next time around I am going to cut way back on the pepper and try it with a hard cider instead of beer

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
OMG THE BEST POTATOES I HAVE EVER MADE. By far!!!! I used Yukon Gold cause thats all I had and also used a Parmesan/Romano mix (again its what I had on hand) - I also only had my phone app for the recipe so I had to do the scaling down in my head. I took other reviewers advice and I roasted my garlic in the oven first. I used about 2 1/2 pounds of potatoes - 1 1/2 sticks of butter and about 5/6 cloves of garlic and about a 1/4 cup of cheese and oregano by taste (site) - I did a lot of this by taste and used a mixer to make a smooth mashed potato (vs a hand masher and chunky potatoes) but I still left the skin on. WOW!!!! They were absolutely fantastic - next time I might add some cheddar n chives and see how that turns out. Thanks for a great recipe!!!!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Excellent breading recipe...by far the best Ive made. I did add extra garlic powder, onion powder and some black pepper to the breading mix and only had time to let marinate for 1 hour. Still really, really good. My only question - posed to anyone with a solution - how can I make chicken fingers w/o making such a HUGE mess :(

Scotcharoos

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
WOW - Am I the only person on here who thought this things were sickeningly sweet - like to the point of inedible - Followed the recipe exactly (mine even look like the pic shown) and thought to myself a whole cup of sugar and a whole cup of corn syrup - prolly cost me over $10 in ingredients :( I feel bad giving a bad review but I wish at least one person had mentioned how terribly sweet they were - I only make recipes with high ratings and good reviews - Im just so shocked no one else thought these were as bad as I did - and I do have a very strong sweet tooth Also thought the krispies mixture ended up having a stale cardboard like texture to them Did I do something wrong?

Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
Very good - hubby loved em - I thought they needed salsa to go with them and I didnt have any on hand :( I found a great way to make the chicken for any mexican dish though - so Im happy about that (I took the chicken breasts and mixed 2/3 c. water and 1 packet of taco seasoning - baked, covered, till done - shredded chicken and returned it to soak in the leftover juices and added chopped onions and pablano chilies - so my filling had a nice kick to it) I, personally, was overwhelmed by the cilantro and will definitely be eliminating (or greatly reducing) that the next time I make these - Overall very good!!!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
AWESOME!!!! These were really, really good. I dont like soy sauce so I used teriyaki and added 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes - It was fantastic - I even overcooked the chicken (i was grilling after dark) and it was still simply wonderful. Next time I will double the sauce/marinade recipe. I even ate the veggies (which is VERY rare for me).

Garlic Chive Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
I followed the recipe to the T but doubled the sauce per reviews and so glad I did....I didnt want to like this when I took my first bite - it was a bit too lemony for me and I would have liked a more garlic kick (roasting the garlic makes the flavor more subtle - but I love roasted garlic) so next time I think I will cut back on the lemon and add some minced garlic along with the roasted. With all that being said I ended up eating two servings of this and licking my plate - It was very delicious and the more I ate it the more I wanted to eat - LOL EDIT: Made this for the whole family and used a lemon grown by a friend (and cut back a little this time) It was just about perfect!! Everyone liked it alot - Thank you

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
Very good!!! Esp since it only takes about an hour and a half from start to finish - u can probably get away with telling everyone youve been cooking all day. I added extra garlic (as I always do) and only used 1.5 tbs of sugar and it was a bit too sweet for my liking, next time Ill cut back to 1 - also I love a meaty sauce but this one actually tastes good w/o it - I mean the meat flavor is nice but I just liked eating the plain sauce, next time I will double all ingredients except the meat as this is prolly a great sauce for lasagna (I made it for stromboli last night and it just wasnt quite right for that) Really good recipe though - thank you!!!

Three-Meat Stromboli

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
Very good - I didnt cook it quite long enough (my bad). Flavors were yummy. I was trying to scale this down to make only one (as there are only two of us in the house) so I was a bit off with the filling - next time I will use more. I used bacon, pepperoni and canadian bacon for my meats and a premade pizza crust. It was yum. I also brushed the top with minced garlic in oil. The only thing it needed was something good to dip it in. I made a spag. sauce from this site but it just didnt mesh right. I then tried it with ranch and still wasnt right. I will continue searching for a sauce that compliments this as I think that would put it over the top.
