Fried Corn with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2014
It was tasty but salty and sooo greasy. Other than flavor I dont think you need the butter. The sausage has enough grease to cook the onion and bell pepper.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
Pretty good. I did use fresh mozzarella that comes sliced and that made it easier than shredded. Way too much oil (shiver). After you broil it, it comes out soggy in the middle. Maybe do cheese bread and let people put the tomato mixture on by itself. Had a good taste.

Slumgullion

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
omg this is so bland and dry. I followed exactly. To try and salvage it I added tomatoes and garlic like the other reviewers said and it made it more palatable, but yuck, this is really bad.

Pork Brine

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
HELLO, this is a BRINE, NOT a MARINADE. There is a difference. The type and cut of meat determines the brine time. A turkey goes longer and the pork chops should go no longer than 2 hours or you will have salty meat. You should alway rinse your meat after the brine and throw away the brine. The brine is changing the meat fibers to make the meat moister. This is also Alton Browns recipe, he has a video on brining also that is cool. I recommend the peeps who messed up try again and follow the directions exactly, it does make a difference.

Chocolate Chip Meringue

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
Ok, made these without vinegar, uck, and they were soooo good. I did half the sugar. They brown up and cook on the outside but are soggy in the middle. You need to lower the temp and after 10 min turn off the oven, but dont open the door and let them sit for a few hours to dry out so they will be crunchy. They have a great flavor, I love all merigunes equally....

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2011
OMG, just ate this for dinner and it was soooo good. I did mine in the crockpot since I had to go out, I added fresh mushrooms. I was worried because i didnt have the gravy or onion soup so I put in 3 cube beef bullion, but hubby went to the store and got the gravy and onion soup mix, so I just mixed it with a little cold water and added to the crock about 30 min before it was done. I used garlic powder since that is what I had. It really turned out good and tasty with a hint of sweet. I will make this again. Thanks a ton, dont need to change a thing/

Wow what an easy recipe. I used bone pork roast and 2 can beef broth and cooked all day in crockpot. It was so tender juicy and what a flavor. I was suprised how good it tasted right out of the pan. I pulled it and used hunts brown sugar bbq sauce and added a little brown sugar and used most of the broth. It was so juicy and tasty ,this is the ONLY way I am making pork in a crock, it was that good.

Tomato Mozzarella Salad

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
I did the recipe exactly and used all fresh ingredients. My hubby gave it 3 stars, my son who eats tomatoes like apples gave it 4.5 and I gave it 2. It was oily, the basil overpowered everything. I will only make it again if my son requests it. Oh, I did add some balsamic vinegar to one to try it and it helped a little.

With all the high stars, I figured this would be some good bread. I was wrong. It was really bland. It didnt taste sweet like banana bread should. It really had a weird flavor. None of my family liked this recipe.

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
I grew up on beans and I love beans. These beans are my favorite. If we have leftovers they are gone the next day. The only thing I changed was the mustard to 1 teaspoon prepared. My kids fuss when they are all gone. Thanks for this recipe.
