Brandied Orange and Cranberry Sauce

Wow!! My dad and I are the only people who eat cranberry sauce in my family. Between the two of us, we almost finished the whole bowl. It is an excellent complement to turkey. I will definately make this again.

Black Beans and Rice

Pretty good! We made this as a main dish (a lunch). It was tasty. I would definately make this again and maybe add tomatoes or green peppers.

Mom's Mustard Style Potato Salad

This beats anything from the grocery store deli! I left out the pimentos and did not mash the potatoes, but left them in bite size pieces. I also substituted in dijon mustard. The result was a tasty salad that did not drown in dressing. Even my husband who hates mayo liked this.

Excellent! I love the subtle flavor in this sauce. I served it with crudites and toasted pita to guests. It was a big hit. Also makes a nice side to a spicy curry.

Cold Veggie Squares

Excellent. I brought this to a shower and everyone loved it. So simple, yet very delicious. Thanks for sharing the idea. I used low-fat cream cheese and low-fat mayo and it was tasty.

Taco Dip

I brought this to a wedding shower and it totally disappeared. Wveryone loved it. It was good because it was meat free and seemed to please the vegetarians present. Thanks for the recipe.

Roasted Veggies with Couscous

Okay...the first time around, I made this as a side dish for some pork chops. My fiance said it was bland. There were leftovers, since he wasn't fond of it (I thought it was okay). Anyways, the next day, I sauteed some tofu and threw the leftover couscous in, making a vegetarian skillet dinner of sorts. It was awesome!! I highly recommend adding the tofu.

Beer and Soy Sauce Chicken

It was kinda salty. Next time I think I will either cut down on the soy sauce or use tamari in place of the soy sauce. However, the beer and garlic gave the chicken a nice flavor. I grilled it indoors on the George Forman Grill and it was good.

Burrito Pie

This was great!! My boyfriend made it for dinner, and I loved it. My only suggestion is that it needs something crunchy...some corn chips on the top perhaps? It is great.

It was okay. I was kinda disappointed and so was my fiance. He said it just tasted like taco seasoning and that's it. I would add salsa next time to see how it would turn out.
