Cucumber and Dill Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Good base. Like others, we added more dill, some lemon, and garlic. First day is good, second day is phenominal (make it the day before!!).

Ham Bone Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Warm, hearty, and delicious. Will make again next time I have a ham bone.. nothing quite like the flavor. I made this in the crock pot while I was at work (10 hours), but this apparently gets better the longer it cooks.

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
Absolutely delicious. Two important notes: (1) 5 minutes in the oven wasn't anywhere near enough. It took ~15 minutes at 350 to get the chicken to 165. (2) I swear, the smoke from the searing of the spices nearly killed us. Make sure you have PLENTY of ventilation.

Southwestern Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
It's a good base. I think that next time, I'll add more to jazz it up (maybe some beans, corn, and fresh jalapeno).

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
Tasty, but the sauce wasn't much of a glaze. Should boil longer to reduce.

Greek Chicken Wrap

Most delicious. The only thing I added was some feta cheese, totally completed the package!

Bacon-Balsamic Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Holy lord in heaven. Best deviled eggs ever. For an added "something special", sprinkle some smoked paprika on top.

Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
Delightfully tangy. The dressing was phenominal. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I wasn't particularly fond of the blue cheese, thought it was much better without. Also, my almonds were burnt to a crisp after 5 minutes; don't make the same mistake I did, watch them like a hawk!

Cucumber Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
Interesting mix of ingredients. Fresh, clean, and tasty. Tip: don't slice the cucumbers too thick or they'll squirt right out when you bite in!

Mexican Bean and Rice Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
Good, but a bit dry. Would add more lime and cook the rice with too much water.

Holly Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
Important: DO NOT use wax paper. Use parchment paper. Wax paper is not quite capable of handling the sticky, delicious cookies.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Simple to make and surprisingly delicious. Don't skimp on the dollop of sour cream and green onions!

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
This is actually almost identical to the Nestle Scotchies recipe, just less butter. Welcome change, as it firms them up some.

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Couldn't grill, had to broil (6 minutes on each side did the trick), but was fantastic. Can't wait to try on a charcoal grill.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Amazingly delicious recipe. I usually double the veggies and make extras. I've made this deep fried per the recipe, or also baked (for a lighter, healthier version). Both were very good.

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
Tasted more like stir-fry than lo mein. Very watery, too much soy sauce and sugar for my tastes.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
Tasty. Like other reviewers, I reduced the salt. I did find that it was pretty cinnamony (overpowered even the cumin), so I wish I had reduced or replaced that with garam masala. Still very good!

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
Nothing special. It had potential with the strong ingredients like Balsamic Vinegar (which I'm a huge fan of), but felt like it was lacking something.
