Grape and Avocado Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2013
I was afraid to make this...but the strange flavor combination is absolutely amazing! I left the cilantro out because I'm not a big fan, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly and we all loved it!

Strawberry-Rhubarb Jam

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
I gave this 4 stars because I love strawberry rhubarb jam...but this was way too sweet. Like gag me with a spoon to sweet. So if you like your jam so sweet that it gags you, this is excellent, but when I make this again, I will definitely use the low sugar pectin, and maybe 7-8 cups of sugar instead of the 10 that this recipe call for. :)

Classic Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
If I could give this recipe 100 stars... I would. These are by far the very best Cinnamon rolls that I have ever had. This was also my first time ever attempting to make cinnamon rolls, and they were very easy to make. One thing that I should mention though. If you are using a standard size Kitchen Aid mixer, after you add all of the flour, your mixer will have trouble kneading the dough. I kneaded it on my counter a few times, divided it in half, and proceeded to knead just one half of the dough at a time in the mixer. Worked out great because then I just let the dough rise separated and didn't have to divide it later. Awesome recipe!! I wouldn't change a thing!!

Cheesy Chicken and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
It was very bland. The one packet of scalloped potato seasoning gave it absolutely no flavor... And after an hour in the oven the potatoes were still crunchy (and I sliced them VERY thin); also watery.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
I figured out that you really need to make sure that your seeds are dry. This recipe has little flavor. I used about 2 cups of dry seeds, 2 Tb butter, 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce and salt to taste. Slow cook those @ 250 for 2 hrs stirring occasionally. These were awesome. Try it, you will see.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
Instead of a blender this is what I did. Put the milk, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice into a saucepan over medium heat stirring constantly and being careful not to scorch the milk. When it is good and hot, combine it with the coffee and vanilla. Then you can top it with the whipped cream and spice if you like. You will get that great frothiness of a real coffeehouse drink. Starbucks is still the best, but this is pretty good.
