About this Cook
I love to cook, and I always have. I'm married and have one daughter.I love to collect recipes and cookbooks and currently have somehwere around 200 cookbooks and pamphlets. The oldest cookbook I have is from the 1800's.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make things from my Polish heritage. My family loves Mexican, so we do various Quesadillas often. There are so many things that I love to make, it's hard to write it down!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Golunbki's (stuffed Cabbage)at Easter. Stained Glass candy at Easter - not the cookies, this is made with colored mini marshmallows and chocolate. Baking TONS of goodies and making fudge for the holidays. Potato salad, macaroni salad (with tuna), seven layer dip for cookouts. Everyone always in the kitchen and stirring whatever is on the stove.

Macaroons III
These are perfect. They are delicious and simple; moist and chewy. I added almond extract instead of vanilla. Just be VERY careful when removing them from the cookie sheet. DON'T USE YOUR FINGER TO GET IT OFF OF THE SPATULA!!! Remember the warnings about hot caramel??? Well, hot sweetened condensed milk is just as sticky!
