Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
This is consistently good! Easy to make and carry to gatherings. It's a regular for us. Served it in a King Hawaiin bread bowl this year along with additional crackers and vegetables, and it was great!

Sixteen Bean Sour Cream Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2003
This was okay, but I probably won't make it again. The color was not very appealing once I added the sour cream. I was looking for a comfort food type dish, but this didn't quite make it for me.

Toasted Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2002
These are so great! They were barely out of the oven and I had eaten a double handful. I did save enough to give as a hostess gift along with some praline coffee. I agree with other reviews that they may not need to be cooked for a whole hour..mine were plenty done in about 40 minutes. I look forward to making these every holiday season!

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
What happened? Mine never hardened, and I agree with the others that the flavor needs help. I will try again, however, but omiting the butter, as I think that kept the mints from being the texture I desired. I colored them blue, and my 2 year old son thought they were blobs of toothpaste.

Alaskan Salmon Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
WOW!!! This is the best! My husband (who is not a chowder lover) ate two servings, as did my 2 year old! I think oysters could be substituted to make a wonderful oyster stew. What a rich nice flavor. MMMMM!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
This is a keeper for us! I love how easy this is to make and my boys loved it. I added some shredded cheddar which made it a great accompaniment for chili. We will have this again! Thanks for sharing!

Berry Eggnog Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
This is super easy...pretty tasty, too! I thought it was a little sweet, so I might try ginger ale instead of lemon-lime next time. I also used the canned egg nog so I could keep it on hand during the holidays as it is so quick and easy to make! The guests loved it.

Turtle Candy

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2002
Yikes! What happened to mine? So easy to do, but the caramel in mine became so hard we could barely eat them! I'm going to try again, but with home made caramel instead of the store bought. Easy and potentially good, but I need another go.

Easy Spinach Souffle

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2002
This recipe was very easy and tasty. My one year old loved it, and for my 2 year old I added extra cheese on the top. We had some left over which we put on a pizza the next day and it was so good! I doubled the egg mixture to cover the spinach a little more thoroughly, too. Nice side dish! Thanks!

Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2002
This was the best tasting batter...I just knew it would come out perfect, but I agree with the others that there is too much oil (and I even cut it down to begin with). I will try 1/3 to 1/2 c next time. It will be worth trying this again because the flavor and aroma are great. I went chocolate all the way, of course :).

Quick Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2002
This recipe is so good...I used red enchilada sauce mixed with the cheese soup to pour over the top to add more flavor. I also doubled the recipe for company and it made a nice presentation with the olives on top! This is a keeper for sure!

Southwestern Haystacks

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2002
Very practical recipe for a family...I, too, added some other spices like garlic pepper, some chilli pepper, paprika, and taco sauce. I also made it as a casserole and it was very easy to serve and then store for leftovers. Great for having a one and two year old at home...Thanks for the recipe!

White Chocolate-Macadamia Nut Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2002
These cookies had a nice flavor, but I didn't have much luck with the texture. I baked them as directed and they came out great from the oven, however the next day they were so hard I couldn't bite them! I'll try them again because the flavor was so good.

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2002
I'm with everyone else...these are so good! I will make them a standard in my kitchen, too. I baked mine at 350 for 12 minutes after chilling the dough. They held their shape so nicely and have a wonderful chewy texture and nice flavor. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This was so great...I, like the other reviewers, added some cornstarch to the gravy and it was delicious! It was great for leftover sandwiches, gravy and all...This will be one of my regulars! Thanks.

Slow Cooker Escalloped Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2002
I had success with this recipe after reading the other reviews. I cut the butter in half, and cut down on the water. I also placed frozen chicken drumsticks in the crockpot 3-4 hours before I added the dressing mixture on top, and after a couple more hours of cooking they were both done to perfection. It was even better left over! Don't give up the first time if it doesn't come out right...it's worth experimenting a little until you get it the way you like it! Enjoy!

Cream Cheese Bars I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2002
These were pretty good, although heavier than I expected. I think they will be good with a chocolate cake mix and some coconut in the cream cheese mix. I'll try it again.

Squash Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2002
Good old fashioned recipe, just what I was looking for. I used sliced Vidalia onions instead of the green onions (just a southern thing, I guess!), and everyone loved it. I'll use this again! Thanks.
