About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My family loves it when I cook banana pudding and sweet potato pie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is my family's favorite cooking tradition. It is a time of family togetherness and thanksgiving. Everyone brings their favorite dish or just gather at one home ( usually mine) to cook and have fun talking about old times and remembering family members no longer with us.
My cooking triumphs
I love trying new recipes from Allrecipes. They are all usually cooking triumphs.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedies usually occur when I am trying to create a written recipe for my daughters from something that I've cooked all my life just from experience. I write the recipe down and then follow the recipe exactly as written only to discover after it 's cooked that I left something out or some ingredient wasn't the correct quantity. But once I get it right my daughters are so thankful.

Ground Beef with Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
This tasted better than the taco package mix I usually use. I was skeptical wether my seven year old grandson would like this because of the red and cayenne peppers but he loved it. He liked that it was a bit spicy and so did I. I will definitely be making this again. Just an added comment: after the water evaporated I added some taco sauce and let it simmer down. It was even better than before.
