Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2014
These were okay, but my kids would much rather have the Hostess brand cupcakes. The cream in this tasted a little greasy.

Barbeque Style Braised Short Ribs

I don't personally like short ribs, but I made these for my husband and kids. They ate them up and said they were great!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2014
Made these for the Superbowl earlier this year and they disappeared fast! Took awhile to make, but it was worth it.

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2014
It was good and easy to make which is why I gave it 4 stars, but to be honest, I've had better. I felt that it lacked flavor. Will probably look for a different recipe.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
My family loved this recipe, although I did have to improvise, as I didn't have all the ingrediants on hand. I substituted a 1/2 tsp. of Lemon-Pepper mix because I didn't have any lemons. Also used Panko and Italian Seasoning, because I didn't have any bread crumbs. My only complaint is that they went in the oven nice and crispy and came out greasy. This may have been because I used bone-in chops, though. I'll definitely make again, though I might try cooking them in the skillet instead of the oven.

Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
Very good sauce. I didn't have cayenne on hand because my family doesn't care for very spicy things, but it tasted just fine without it.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I only gave this three stars because although it's relatively simple to make and doesn't take a lot of time, I feel it's lacking in flavor. I made it with the cottage cheese suggestion, so maybe that made a difference? My family wasn't very enthusiastic about it and no one went back for seconds, though they did eat it. If I try making this again, I'll throw in some spices and use ricotta.

Four Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
My family loved this sauce. I used quality ingrediants, i.e. REAL butter and REAL cheese (none of that pre-shredded Kraft stuff). It turned out great. The hardest part was shredding/grating the cheeses. I served it over angel hair pasta and chicken. Even my picky kids loved it. The only change I made was tossing in a little parsley, salt, and pepper.

Uncle White's Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
Sorry, did not care for these rolls. The dough was fabulous to work with, but the rolls were tasteless. Don't know if it's because I'm not used to cooking with kosher salt or what, but my family and I didn't care for the taste (or lack thereof).

Jeannie's Famous Potato Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
This is a good recipe, albeit a greasy one. Most likely due to the cheese itself. I agree with other posters that 4 cups of cheese is a lot, but my family loves cheese, so I left it at 4 cups. My only real complaint is that it took Forever to cook. The potatoes just didn't want to get tender. It took close to two hours to finish cooking. This may have been due to my being in Denver and our weird altitude. Other than that, between three adults and two kids, there was barely anything left in the pan!

Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Awesome recipe. I had to give just 4 stars though because I didn't have any shortening on hand, so I used butter instead. The rolls came out just fine and my family loved them! I had a hard time keeping them away from the rolls while I finished making the rest of our dinner!

Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
These were easy to make, but too bland for my family. Next time, I will use more salt in the dough and maybe add some pepper as well. I also had a problem with them being way too thick, but that's my fault, as it was the first time I've ever made homemade noodles and I found it difficult to get them thin enough for my taste. Plus, I'm cooking at high altitude and that always makes cooking new things a challenge! I'll definitely try making these again, with a bit of tweaking.

New Wife Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
This is a great tuna salad, everyone loved it! I left out the salt & pepper, but only because I was having one of those days and actually forgot to put them in the recipe. But even without the salt & pepper, it tasted fantastic.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Love this recipe! The first time, I followed the recipe exactly and ran into a problem with the topping overflowing my pan, so the second time, I used two pans. Easy fix. My family didn't enjoy the cream cheese icing the first time around, so I looked up a non-cream cheese icing and used that the next time. Much better. Even my mother-in-law thought these were awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Actually used this recipe to make personal pizzas for my kids after school. It was fantastic and the kids had a lot of fun adding their own toppings. (I tried to make a large pizza with it, but no matter how long I cooked it, I couldn't get it all the way done in the center...) Next time, I'll make breadsticks with it! Great recipe!

Chili Mac Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
This was a great recipe! The only thing I would change next time is the kidney beans. They were very "meaty" and just didn't seem to belong to the recipe. Personal preference, I suppose! But otherwise, it was fantastic. I had no leftovers!

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Awesome! I'll admit that I had to use garlic powder and dried parsley, as I didn't have fresh on hand, but even with those changes, this is one great meatball recipe. My family loved it!
