Slow Cooker Chili II

My family loved this. I did make some changes. I left out the onion, celery, pepper, hot sauce, and cannellini beans. I used 1 (15oz) can tomato sauce instead of the puree. I used 2 cans pinto beans, all drained, instead of the kidney beans. I added 1 can petite diced tomatoes, undrained. This was a thicker chili but still enough juice to eat with some crackers.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Made it for Thanksgiving and the family said it was okay. I liked it but did not love it. I used about 3 1/2 cups broth so it was not soggy. I also used pepperidge farm seasoned bread cubes. I will try another recipe before using this one again. But in a pinch this will work.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Yummy, my whole family loved it. I used boneless chicken breasts and chicken broth. Left out the onion, celery, peas, and parsley (because I didn't have them on hand). Used regular potatoes. We only had a small bowl left over. Will double the recipe next time.

Au Gratin Potatoes II

I doubled the recipe and cooked in a huge pan so it wasn't too deep (didn't want it to take longer to cook). Served it at easter and came home with only a small serving. It took about 10 minutes longer to cook than the recipe stated. I thawed my frozen hash browns in the fridge, used cream of potato instead of cream of celery, no onions, used bread crumbs instead of corn flakes, and no butter. No one was raving about it, but everyone ate it. Could probably tinker a bit with what I did but don't have to.

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Made this for Christmas and everyone loved it. I substituted 1 can chicken broth for the water and put pats of butter under the skin. Cooked at 325 for 2 1/2 hours and then at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Thanks for a great recipe!

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

Very good. I added an extra 1/2 cup each of flour and peanut butter. This made a lot of cookies(if you make small 1 1/2"-2" cookies you will get about 8 dozen). My family loved them.

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Really great cookie and so easy. I put 1/3 cup oil, little bit of vanilla flavoring and I flattened with the bottom of a glass which I had dipped in sugar. Then my boys frosted with vanilla frosting and red and green sugar sprinkles. Chewy, just the way I like them. Thanks for the recipe!

Sausage Balls

Yummy! Did not last long both times I have fixed them. First time I followed the recipe exactly, the second time I did not have the right soup, so used cream of mushroom instead. My 6 year old son who hates mushrooms could not get enough of these! Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Barbeque

I used a pork roast. Had to drain and add new BBQ sauce for last hour. Husband really liked, the kids and I are not big on BBQ but it was okay. Too much fat for me, next time I will try a piece of meat with less fat on it. Also needs to cook 8 hours before shredding the meat.

Taco Seasoning I
