Antipasto Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
OMG! Good!!! I called this my $45 salad because it was a little expensive to make, but it was so worth it! Very yummy! The only thing I didn't like was the provolone cheese. Next time I will use something different. Also, I added capers. I will definitely make this again (for special occasions).

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
Delicious chocolate cake and very easy to put together. I made cupcakes and baked them for about 25 minutes - they turned out perfectly. I didn't use a whole cup of oil - about 3/4 cup - just because that was all I had. I also used mini chocolate chips. I will definitely make this recipe again!

Baklava

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
This is amazing! I followed the modifications recommended by the other reviewers and it was so super good. I used walnuts and hazelnuts and roasted them. I made (1.5times) the sauce beforehand and let it cool while I made the baklava. I worked quickly with the phyllo dough, so I didn't use a damp towel to cover it, but I did cut it to the length of my pan. I have a nice silicon pastry brush that was perfect for spreading the melted butter on the pastry sheets. I cut the baklava before I baked it, but I didn't cut all the way through. I let it cool for about 30 minutes before pouring the sauce over it. It turned out so super good! I will definitely, definitely make this again!

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
This cake turned out beautifully. I used the lemon pudding, but vanilla extract instead of lemon (because that was what I had) and the flavor was great. My husband literally licked the plate! It was very moist and the orange flavor was subtle, but overall a nice citrus flavor. I will definitely make this again!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
This cake was so good and so moist! I made it as a three (9-inch) layer cake and baked the cakes for about 35 minutes at 325 degrees. I didn't do the freezer thing, but I don't think it matters because it is so moist! I used my own cream cheese frosting recipe, which makes a little more in order to frost all the layers. My husband and kids can't get enough! I will definitely make this again!

Great icing recipe. I use all butter and about 6 cups of confectioner's sugar and 3-4 tbsp. of milk. Perfect!

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
I am addicted to this salad. I have made it several times and my husband and I always end up fighting over the last delicious bites. I don't use at much bacon (maybe 6 strips) and I use peanuts instead of sunflower seeds, just because that is what's in my pantry. Super good!!!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
These muffins are "to die for"! They are so good! The only thing I added was a little vanilla. I made 24 mini muffins and now my kids want to eat them all (and so do I!).

Heavenly White Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
The cake turned out pretty well. I added the 1/2 cup of milk that others suggested and folded the eggs in at the end. The flavor is great and it's very moist and light, but I made cupcakes, and they didn't rise very well. Luckily, my son is turning one, so he won't remember the funky cupcakes! I think it would be fine for a regular cake pan, just not cupcakes.

Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
Very, very good! I cooked the chicken in the skillet with the peppers and made the sauce separately, as others suggested. Excellent and fast meal! We will definitely make this again!
