Cherry Cream Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Made this recipe almost to specs, but I only had about 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice. Didn't take it to the dinner as planned because I was afraid the missing lemon juice would effect the flavor, but I was wrong. Delicious!! Didn't seem to hurt it at all. Will make again and again...and maybe lighten the lemon juice amount since some reviews complain of the recipe being too lemony. Thanks for a keeper!

Excellent recipe. I cut back on the ketchup a bit to bring out the flavor of the spices. Everyone raved about the ribs!!!

Simple Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2013
The recipe and picture sounds and look simple and bland, but followed the recipe exactly except doubled the onions and added a few cloves of garlic and it was the best pot roast I've ever eaten. Be sure and don't let it cook longer than the 2 1/2 hours, I let mine stay on warm for a hour after baking until everyone could get home to eat and it was getting close to being dry, but still AMAZING!!! The vegetables has a wonderful flavor and full of juice. I enjoyed the potatoes, I got from another recipe on this website, but my wife's picky pallet wasn't a fan. ONLY WAY I'VE EVER ENJOYED POTROAST

Cinnamon Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
This was delicious. Like others, I did not seperate or mix the eggs aside, just mixed the moist ingredients in my mixer and mixed the dry ingredients in a seperate bowl, then blended them together. I added a bit more cinnamon, about 1 tsp, still was not a strong cinnamon flavor. Excellent recipe, will use again and again.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
I've made this several times. Use 3 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour instead of using the white flour. Baked the crust for 5 minutes untopped before topping followed by baking the last 15 minutes. I turned my oven on and let the dough in the ball proof in the pan for about 20 minutes instead of letting it sit for the hour. Worked fine. DELICIOUS

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
Absolutely loved it!! Left out the whole tomatoes due to not having any and used only 5 chicken breasts, otherwise followed it to the letter. I had less than the 5 cups of broth left, I just poured all I had left in the soup. Came out like a perfect chunky chicken chili. Very hearty and meaty, will make this again. Makes enough to feed my family of 4, 3 times.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
Delicious!! I made as recommended, but used an extra tablespoon of flour to thicken up the soup. As other's have said, if you aren't into spice or a powerful pepper flavor, I would cut the pepper in half. I loved it as the ingredients state, but I love pepper and a little spice. Super easy to make! Will make this again.

Veggie Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
Awsome recipe. I did exactly as directed, except I used 3 cans of crescent rolls and made a very large pizza, and had enough left over to make a small pizza for myself and kids before the party. There was just enough cream left for it. Glad we got to eat that, cause by the time we got through the line to get food, the pan was polished clean. I also added a large spoonful of mayonaise to the cream mixture to improve flavor and used my own variety of vegetables including tomatoes, onion, red bell pepper, broccoli, carrot and shredded cheddar. Everyone raved about how good it was.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2014
It made 3 large loaf pans and 9 muffins. Do the loaves, I did have to leave them in the oven for about 80 minutes. Use the toothpick or a knife to check the center of your bread for sure. Bread comes out delicious and super moist.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
Recipe was very good. Very similar to a chicken taco. I used one can cream of chicken, on can chicen stock, and made a cup of chicken stock from bullion. I boiled one 1/3 cup onion in the bullion before adding it to the recipe. I cut the chili powder in half since my wife does not like foods too spicy. I would have loved the 2 tsp. I added 1/3 cup sour cream to the recipe to add a little flavor and thickening. Also I boiled a couple breasts and shredded them instead of using the canned chicken. Will try adding a little red pepper and minced garlic next time, and probably the extra tsp of chili powder. The whole family thought it was great.

Grandma's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2014
Filling very yummy, crust a little dry and tasteless. I spend some time mixing the crust and rolling it out, and it turned out very dry. The contents were very tasty though. I didn't have any onions or cream of potatoe, so I used a can of cream of onion. I did season the sauce as recommended by others including basil, thyme, oregano, garlic salt, which really enhanced the flavor of the filling. Would definitely make it again, but use either a store bought crust or a different recipe.

Chef John's Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
My wife loves to make chicken and dumplings, so I thought I'd surprise her with this more advanced recipe. I was a little disappointed. IT was very watery with very little flavor. The dumplings cooked up nice and fluffy, but I think the recipe my wife uses found on the bak of a bisquik box beats this recipe hands down.

Ragu No Boiling Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2014
Decent base recipe. I used the no boil noodles. I would suggest browning some italian sausage and then adding the sauce to it after draining. This recipe is lacking a little on flavor, but the sausage adds the perfect touch.
