My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake: and I especially love to bake deserts. I'll spend an entire afternoon just making cookies. I like to try new recipes, too. But sadly, my budget is limited so I often don't stray from the simple "chocolate-chip cookie" recipe. I also recently aquired a ice cream maker, so I'm trying out many, many new recipes on my family!
My cooking triumphs
I was so happy when I finally made that perfect batch of light, fluffy, M&M cookies. Sadly, I haven't figured out how I did that and have been experimenting ever since. I also created a couple simple ice cream recipes that turned out pretty good! (In my opinion)
My cooking tragedies
Half a year ago, I had never made a simple cookie. Besides wandering in to snitch some dough, only to be shooed away by my Oh-So-Loving older sister, I barely even went into the kitchen. So it took me a while to get the hang of it: the hard way. I can't tell you how many cookies I've burnt and recipes I've screwed up!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
The absolute best recipe for sugar cookies so far! I was so excited when I took then out of the oven: they aren't the flat, crispy, crumbly cookies that I usually end up with!

Apple-Berry Pie
Turned out great! Substituted 1 1/2 tablespoons for the tapioca, added a pinch of nutmeg, used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/4 brown, and used mulberries instead of blackberries... so I guess I ended up with a completely different pie than the recipe! But oh, it was soooo good... :D

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies
Unfortunately, when I made these, I FORGOT to double the lemon extract when I doubled the recipe. So, they turned out as "Sugar tea cookies with a hint of lemon." They were still delicious: and the texture was perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside! I can't wait to make them again (this time with ALL the ingredients), maybe with a citrus or lime drizzle on top....
