I followed the recipe almost exactly as written. I make soups all the time and love butternut squash soup. Everyone thought so highly of this recipe but I didn't get the same result at all. I don't know what happened. The only thing I varied on at all was instead of putting all of the ingredients in the food processor, I did all but the chicken broth. The puree tasted great but when I added it to the broth, mixed it together with a whisk and set it on the heat, something awful took place and that beautiful, velvety sweet puree took on a flavor that I couldn't even stand a single spoonful of! I used a quart of Swanson chicken broth. What went wrong?!
